TUESDAY 3RD JUNE, 2025

TUESDAY RACING
TUESDAY 3RD JUNE, 2025
We have 8 races today commencing at 2.17pm and we would like to thank our sponsors today who are: VAL, Hall and Hickman, Glyn Hall Wealth and IMA Architects.
Important points to note today are:
For our Owners, Trainers, we have provided the Club Room for dining plus the first floor Executive Room for viewing today where you will find large televisions, a bar, complimentary tea and coffee and a two-course meal plus betting facilities. You may also use the Club Terrace area and the two NEW ground floor PREMIER ROOMS. For our Annual badge holders you have the Paddock Pavilion and The Club Terrace. For those wishing to dine in style, we do have walk-in space today within the Nelson restaurant, so if you are interested in a delicious 3 course meal then simply head up there for a table.
Please be aware that we no longer accept cash at all bar and food outlets only debit or credit cards. Please be assured that turnstiles and betting facilities will continue to accept cash. For those customers who either forget their cards or do not possess a debit card or credit card, we have opened “voucher outlets” where you will be able to exchange your cash for vouchers and should you not spend your vouchers on the day you will be able to exchange them back for cash from the main office before you leave (up to 30 minutes after the last race), or use them on a future meeting. Today these outlets are situated at the Main Office and the Main Tote building. We are pleased to say that this change has sped up service and improved security.
Public bars and food stands will close today immediately following the final race and the racecourse will close shortly after Please take a look at the racecourse map within your racecard to familiarise yourself with our facilities and in particular the location of our first aid unit where we have 2 qualified staff to look after any slip, trips or bumps you may have and hopefully nothing more serious.
PLEASE NOTE THAT LADIES DAY 2025 TAKES PLACE ON SATURDAY 5th JULY FEATURING
SOPHIE ELLIS BEXTOR WITH MARK WRIGHT SUPPORTING. BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW AT THE DISCOUNTED PRICE OF £45 PER PERSON.
HAVE A GREAT DAY, THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING US AND WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN FOR OUR NEXT MEETING WHICH TAKES PLACE ON SATURDAY EVENING 14 JUNE.

Official BHA Rating
Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below:
★★★★★ Selected to win the race.
★★★★✩ Good chance of being placed.
★★★✩✩ By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims
★★✩✩✩ Unlikely to win but not totally without hope
★✩✩✩✩ Can be given little or no chance
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability. The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances). The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed. Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.
Our easy guide to getting the most from your racecard. Our new racecard key identifies the main runner and rider elements: You must be 18 or over to place a bet
You may be asked to provide proof of your age when placing a bet. If you cannot produce this, your bet will not be accepted.

Several of these have already shown a fair level of form but it’s newcomer CHARMING PRINCESS who appeals most. She fetched 300,000 gns as a yearling and it will look very significant if the market speaks in her favour Having shaped well on their respective debuts at Musselburgh and Newbury, Clouds Hill and Silent Storm could emerge as the main dangers, given that Archivist’s limitations have seemingly already been exposed. CHALK MOUNTAIN returned in top form back from a 5-month break when third at Kempton just under 4 weeks ago and could be the answer if reproducing a similar sort of performance back on turf Jungle Land and Infinity Blue head the opposition.
At every meeting at Leicester Racecourse there are two specially-qualified equine vets appointed to look after the welfare of all horses in action. During the race one vet will be following the runners and can attend to a horse in the same response time as the Paramedic Teams responsible for treating injured jockeys. The second vet is based below the stewards box in the grandstand, is in radio contact with his colleague following the runners, and can respond immediately to any uncovered emergency. In addition there is a third vet, a British Horseracing Authority Veterinary team and the stewards
The Racecourse also employs a specialist Horse Ambulance Team, equipped with a modern equine ambulance to enable injured horses to be transported safely to a veterinary hospital for treatment. It is now standard practice for screens to be erected around any horse receiving veterinary attention on the course This does not reflect on the severity of an injury, but allows the vet some privacy in which to administer treatment and provides the horse with a calm environment in which to make a recovery. Please do not assume the worst if you see screens erected around a fallen horse.

TEES AGGREGATES took his form up a notch when a comfortable recent scorer at Catterick and still looks ahead of his mark despite taking a 6lb rise in the weights Toolatetonegotiate is knocking on the door and should ensure Adrian Nicholls’ gelding doesn’t have things all his own way though, while Winchurch, Miss Showdown and Rogue Bullet appeal as the pick of the rest in the battle for minor honours

Leicester Racecourse has significantly enhanced Safety & Security measures this year to ensure your safety, comfort and enjoyment of the day. However, an incident may occur which is beyond our control and it is important that you are aware of how we intend to look after you in the event of an emergency. As part of our Safety management, we have employed professionally trained and experienced stewards and you will see them at various points throughout the racecourse In the event of a situation, which requires partial or full evacuation of the stands or racecourse, announcements will be broadcast and stewards will undertake the responsibility of guiding you to a place of safety; it is essential that you follow their instructions Please take your immediate belongings with you and proceed out of the area quickly and calmly with the guidance of the stewards The evacuation procedures have been carefully planned to lead you to a safe area. Should it be necessary to evacuate the course itself, there will be two main options; firstly to return to your vehicles if safe to do so and leave via the main entrance Secondly, should it not be safe to return to your vehicles, you will be requested to leave via an emergency evacuation gate, where you will receive further instructions It may give you peace of mind if you pre plan and agree a meeting place, just in case you become separated from your party. The above is precautionary only and we trust that the procedures will never be required. However, in the event of an emergency, remember: TAKE YOUR BELONGINGS WITH YOU AND UNDER THE DIRECTIONS OF THE STEWARDS, PROCEED QUICKLY & CALMLY TO THE SAFE AREA.
Any queries or problems that racegoers may have can be dealt with either at the racecourse office or by writing to the racecourse manager

The Racecourse would be grateful if racegoers could observe all Health & Safety requirements whilst at Leicester Racecourse We would also be grateful if parents could keep a close eye on their children and prevent them from climbing on the running rails and getting onto the actual racecourse and paddock area. We would also like to remind racegoers that the FIRST AID medical unit is situated on the hard standing by the Sales Office The designated meeting point for lost children is now in the Safety Control Office
These Rules on Betting, as amended from time to time, are issued by Tattersalls Committee The Rules on Betting were first issued in 1886 and were last revised on 17 May 2010 and the Place Terms were updated by racecourses with effect from 1 January 2015 following consultation with bookmakers In accordance with licence conditions issued by the Gambling Commission pursuant to the Gambling Act 2005, licensees must display on their ‘joints’, in an intelligible format, any rules that differ from these Rules on Betting. A further licence condition requires all licensees to have an independent dispute resolution service On application and in accordance with the published procedures (details of which are available at www. tattersallscommittee.co.uk), Tattersalls Committee will hear any betting disputes arising from the application or interpretation of these Rules on Betting or any other betting dispute emanating from on-course transactions Rule 1. In these Rules on Betting, ‘betting’ shall have the meaning defined by section 9 of the Gambling Act 2005. Rule 2. Unless clearly displayed otherwise, all each-way bets except ante-post bets will be settled on the actual number of starters according to the following racecourse place terms: -
• Fewer than 3 runners—all to win
• 3 or 4 runners - all to win. Where a bookmaker wishes to depart from this default position he may offer place terms for 3 or 4 runners this must be at 1/5 odds a place 1-2.

iv) If the venue is altered; or
v) If a horse is eliminated under the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) Rules of Racing, schedule 8 of the Race Administration Manual (F).
However, in any such circumstances accumulative ante-post bets (win or place) will stand and be settled at the ante-post price(s) laid on the remaining horse(s).
Any race in which a horse is supplemented does not affect Rule 4(A).
In the event of a race being postponed to another day, ante-post bets placed before the entries have closed will stand and will only be made void if the race is abandoned or made void, if the horse is balloted out or eliminated under the previously mentioned schedule 8 of the BHA’s Rules of Racing or if the venue is changed. Ante-post bets placed after the entries have closed will be void, except when the race is run at a later date at the same venue and entries for the race are not reopened, in which case bets will stand.
(B) Bets other than ante-post bets will be void if the race is abandoned or declared void. Bets will stand if the race is postponed to another day and final declarations stand. If the final declarations do not stand, bets will be void. Bets on a horse declared by the Starter ‘not to have started’ will be void.
(C) Where a bet has been placed and a price taken on the day of the race and there is subsequently an official notification that a horse has been withdrawn or has been declared ‘not to have started’, the liability of a layer against any horse remaining in the race, win or place, will be reduced in accordance with the following scale depending on the odds current against the withdrawn horse at the time of such official notification:
