Welcome to The Bandero Premium Tequila Ladies Day 2024 – featuring RAK-SU, BLUE, CHRIS MOYLES and Headlining with Ronan Keating. We are featuring possibly the best line up ever on a Ladies Day at Leicester and we are sure you will not be disappointed.

What a day and evening we have planned for you today. Doors open at 12 noon and we are straight into the live performances which run right through until 4.15pm. Then we have the Best Dressed competition with some fantastic prizes followed by 8 races and culminating at around 9.15pm with Ronan Keating. Basically you have 2 days in one this year!! Please pay close attention to the map within your Racecard to locate the Dodgems, numerous extra bars, toilets, seating and screens to make your experience as memorable as ever Please be reminded that Bars and food outlets will close around 10.15pm and the racecourse will close immediately following Ronan’s performance. Please ensure you book your taxi early to avoid disappointment, however there should also be plenty of taxi’s available for you outside our taxi rank which is marked clearly on the map next to Car Park A.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our many sponsors today who are all mentioned within this Racecard. Everyone is looking fabulous today and for those of you who want to enter the Best Dressed competition, be sure to find the Hits Radio Team who will be going round the racecourse taking entries. Further details of the competition and the prizes are highlighted in this Racecard. The Best Dressed final will be on stage at around 4.30p 6pm, hosted by Hits radio’s Jo and Sparky.

We are excited to inform you that we have a large comfortable crowd number of approximately 8000 this year , with facilities able to accommodate 10,000, however in order to speed up service we are CASHLESS on all food and drink outlets. For those people who do not have a credit or debit card we also run a voucher system instead of cash. To purchase vouchers simply go to the MAIN OFFICE which is located next to the turnstiles. No change is needed, as our outlets are prices on all items to these denominations. Should you not use all your vouchers, please pop into the main office to exchange them back for cash by 10pm latest.

Within your racecard, you will find a map showing all the day facilities split into zones. These maps are also displayed around the racecourse and on the APP You will also find FREE factor 50 sunscreen dispensers and drinking water located around the site. Should it rain then you may purchase waterproof festival capes from the main office at £2 each. Please note we do have a limited supply but we will accept cash or card payments for these.

PLEASE SPREAD OUT Everything you need will be located within each of the 3 zones as highlighted on the map, therefore once you have found your preferred spot there will be no need to move too far There are a minimum of 15 food outlets around the site this year and most will continue serving until 10.15pm so please feed yourselves well if you are drinking and please drink responsibly.

For your added safety we have 10 first-aiders, a paramedic and an ambulance plus a crowd doctor and nearly 80 stewards. Please note the location of our First Aid units within zone 2 and zone 3 and be sure to ask for help if you need it. If you have under 18’s with you today please look after them responsibly.

Whilst Tote and most bookmakers accept cash or card, Cashback facilities are available from all Tote outlets by placing a minimum £5 bet and then taking up to £45 cashback as many times throughout the day as you like. Alternatively, you can get up to £100 cashback with your debit or credit card from the main office. Remember though, you should not actually need cash today. THERE IS NO CASH MACHINE ON SITE TODAY.

We hope you have a wonderful day and evening with us and we hope to see you again for our next meeting on 27th June.

Official BHA Ratings

The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability. The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances). The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed. Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.

You must be 18 or over to place a bet

You may be asked to provide proof of your age when placing a bet. If you cannot produce this, your bet will not be accepted.

2023:NO CORRESPONDING RACE LAST YEAR

Blinkers worn first time by No 6, 9. Hood worn by No 7, 8. Tongue Strap worn by No 1, 3. Sheepskin Cheek Pieces worn by No 4. Stewards Note: OLYMPICUS: Following its run on 27/10/2023 it was reported that the horse ran freely and hung right.

Probable S.P’s: 4-1 Royal Dream (GB), 11-2 Siempre Arturo (GB), Olympicus (USA), 7-1 Giselles Defence (IRE), 8-1 Flight of Angels (GB), 9-1 Tarbaan (IRE), 10-1 Tiger Beetle (GB), 14-1 Favorite Boy (GB), 20-1 Masqool (IRE)

A wide-open handicap with a chance taken on TARBAAN He’s been operating below his best in recent starts but this drop back in trip rates a likely plus and he’s fallen back down to a potentially handy mark. Siempre Arturo was far from disgraced at Windsor latest and he’s feared. The returning Olympicus and Chelmsford-scorer Royal Dream are others to consider. TIMEFORM PREDICTION:

Approximate Odds

Odds Indicator Boards are now all marked “Approximate Odds’’ and all show the same approximate odds on offer at any given time before the start.

It will be appreciated that these are intended as a guide and cannot necessarily reflect the resultant S.P. or the Tote Dividend of the winner.

Horse Welfare at Leicester Racecourse

At every meeting at Leicester Racecourse there are two specially-qualified equine vets appointed to look after the welfare of all horses in action. During the race one vet will be following the runners and can attend to a horse in the same response time as the Paramedic Teams responsible for treating injured jockeys The second vet is based below the stewards box in the grandstand, is in radio contact with his colleague following the runners, and can respond immediately to any uncovered emergency. In addition there is a third vet, a British Horseracing Authority Veterinary team and the stewards

The Racecourse also employs a specialist Horse Ambulance Team, equipped with a modern equine ambulance to enable injured horses to be transported safely to a veterinary hospital for treatment. It is now standard practice for screens to be erected around any horse receiving veterinary attention on the course This does not reflect on the severity of an injury, but allows the vet some privacy in which to administer treatment and provides the horse with a calm environment in which to make a recovery. Please do not assume the worst if you see screens erected around a fallen horse
