We would like to thank all of our donors for their generosity supplying the prizes. All prizes will be kept in our main office ready for collection at the end of the day, so you don’t have to carry them around. The Smooth Radio team will be going around taking photographs and taking name and phone number of entrants between 2.30pm and 4.30pm. The judging panel will select a top 3 for the final who will be notified by text message and phone call by 5pm.

Final judging to take place on main stage immediately after racing.

Welcome to Smooth Radio Ladies Day 2023 – WITH SISTER SLEDGE featuring KATHY SLEDGE plus special guests Bjorn Again

We have a fantastic day planned for you this year with 6 races, a best dressed competition lots of extra bars, toilets, seating and screens to make your experience as memorable as ever plus fantastic after racing live music from Bjorn Again (approximately 6.30pm-7.30pm) then a 30 minute break until Sister Sledge from approximately 8pm to 9.30pm. Bars and food outlets will close around 9.15pm and the racecourse will close just before 10pm. Please ensure you book your taxi early to avoid disappointment.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors today who are SMOOTH RADIO. Everyone is looking fabulous today and for those of you who want to enter the Best Dressed competition, be sure to find the Smooth Street Team between 2.30pm and 4.30pm who will be going round the racecourse taking entries. The Best Dressed final will be on stage at 6pm, hosted by Smooth Radio’s Gareth Evans. We have some amazing prizes up for grabs including an HP laptop, stunning jewellery, 2 tickets for Evita at Curve Theatre, a meal for 2 at Leicester Racecourse, champagne, flowers and more!

We are excited to inform you that we have a SELL OUT crowd this year (approximately 8000), we have limited the crowd to this number in order to enhance your comfort and pleasure and improve your service. We do realise that in the past we have been extremely busy which could have compromised comfort and service so we have pro-actively attempted to limit the crowd to a much more enjoyable level. Also, in order to speed up service we are CASHLESS on all food and drink outlets. For those people who do not have a credit or debit card we also run a voucher system instead of cash. To purchase vouchers (£5 and £1 denominations available) simply go to the MAIN OFFICE, MAIN TOTE OR THE BETTING HALL TOTE. No change is needed, as our outlets are prices on all items to these denominations. Should you not use all your vouchers, please pop into the main office to exchange them back for cash by 9.30pm latest.

Within your racecard, you will also find a map showing all the day facilities split into zones. These maps are also displayed around the racecourse and on the APP You will also find FREE factor 50 sunscreen dispensers and drinking water located around the site. Should it rain then you may purchase waterproof festival capes from the main office at £2 each. Please note we do have a limited supply but we will accept cash or card payments for these.

PLEASE SPREAD OUT Everything you need will be located within each of the 3 zones as highlighted on the map, therefore once you have found your preferred spot there will be no need to move too far There are 15 food outlets around the site this year and most will continue serving until the music ends so please feed yourselves well if you are drinking and please drink responsibly.

For your added safety we have 10 first-aiders, a paramedic and an ambulance plus a crowd doctor plus nearly 80 stewards. Please note the location of our First Aid unit within zone 2 and be sure to ask for help if you need it. If you have under 18’s with you today we would encourage you to download the wristband APP and give your child a FREE wristband. The APP is called TAGOSI and is free to download.

Whilst Tote and most bookmakers accept cash or card, Cashback facilities are available from all Tote outlets by placing a minimum £5 bet and then taking up to £45 cashback as many times throughout the day as you like. Alternatively, you can get up to £50 cashback with your debit card from the main office. Remember though, you should not actually need cash today. THERE IS NO CASH MACHINE ON SITE TODAY.

We hope you have a wonderful day and evening with us.
