They just do With £275,000 of prize money, bet365 Morebattle Hurdle Day isn’t just Kelso’s most valuable raceday, it’s the day that we look forward to the most - the perfect blend of high quality jump pattern races (the Grade 2 bet365 Premier Novices Hurdle / the Listed bet365 Premier Steeplechase) and one of the most competitive handicap hurdles in the calendar (the bet365 Morebattle Hurdle).

Add the intrigue of a £100,000 bonus for following up at the Cheltenham Festival and we have a heady mix.

This year we’re looking forward to welcoming The Shunter back to Kelso Plotted by the remarkable Emmet Mullins to scoop the Morebattle Bonus back in 2021, The Shunter (like several others declared for an intriguing renewal of the bet365 Premier Steeplechase) is being prepared for a possible tilt at the World’s most famous steeplechase - the Grand National. A win there would surely seal his reputation as one of the most versatile racehorses in history.
