DANIEL CRAGGS General Manager, Huntingdon Racecourse
On behalf of everyone at Huntingdon Racecourse, it’s my great pleasure to welcome you to our most prestigious meeting of the year, the Peterborough Chase. Truly a jewel of the National Hunt calendar
Since its inception in 1969, the Peterborough Chase has been graced by some of the sport’s most distinguished names. Past champions include the brilliant Best Mate, a three-time Cheltenham Gold Cup hero, and the remarkable Edredon Bleu, who won this race a record-breaking four times and claimed Queen Mother Champion Chase glory More recently, stars like Top Notch and First Flow have added their names to the roll of honour, continuing the tradition of excellence. We look forward to seeing if Djelo can become the first to defend the Peterborough Chase crown, in 18 years.
This year, we are thrilled to welcome a competitive field ready to write the next chapter in this day’s storied history The dedication of the trainers, jockeys, and teams behind the scenes, together with your support as spectators, ensures the Peterborough Chase remains a highlight of the National Hunt season.
Thank you for joining us today. We hope you enjoy the racing, vibrant atmosphere, and warm hospitality that make Huntingdon Racecourse so special.
With best wishes for a fantastic day,
DON’T FORGET OUR NEXT MEETING MONDAY 22 DECEMBER

‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.
Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.
Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.
Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.
