1.50pm - King Of The Road won his last two handicap races at Market Rasen and although he has spiked up in the weights, there still may be more to come from the Ben Pauling trained horse. Ferrobin is a course and distance winner and won at a big price here last month coming back from a 10 month break. Maybe he runs better fresh but he looked an improved horse last time out and a chance is taken that he can put up another bold performance here today. Cottie may have disappointed in her last run at Cheltenham but this looks a far less daunting task. She looks a big danger dropped in the weights to a mark of 106 and the Dan Skelton mare could be the one to side with in this competitive looking handicap
2.25pm - Chatty Chich seemed to handle the step up in trip at Fakenham last time out, when finishing a close 2nd on good ground over 3 miles. She goes up 2 lbs for that effort today. Headscarf Lil (pictured below with red cap) is now running off a feasible rating of 93 The 10-year-old mare stays well and should be suited by the ground. She makes plenty of appeal for Nicky Richards. Bluebella may have disappointed in her last run at Uttoxeter last September but she did lose a hind shoe that day. The 6-year-old mare has previously run well fresh and looks interesting if she can prove she handles this trip
2.55pm - Tarras Wood won a bumper over the Christmas period at Wetherby in 2022 but has not been the easiest to follow over hurdles. He was reported to have a breathing issue when last seen at Wetherby in a maiden hurdle in February A market check is needed here but this maiden hurdle race may not take a lot to win and a repeat of his effort at Wincanton in December would see the selection go close here today. Secret Des Dieux looks interesting stepping up in trip and on better ground. Sean Bowen takes that ride and he looks one for the shortlist after a couple of respectable looking runs recently
3.25pm - There looks to be a lot of early speed in this handicap chase and this may benefit Home Free who although has been disappointing lately, may be more suited to the better ground here today. Romanor should be suited by the ground too, but may be in need of the run after a long break. Hystery Bere carries top weight and has place claims for Tom Symonds and Harry Cobden. He was no match for Kansas City Star last time out at Plumpton but drops a couple of pounds in the weights. It’s still a tough ask for him to defy the 122 rating but he is one of the classier horses in the race.
4.00pm - Flemen’s Tipple may have a good opportunity here, now off a mark of 82. He has not been running particularly well lately but this is a drop in class and he does have some good form in the book from earlier on in the season. Samtara steps back up in trip here and has place claims now dropped in the weights to a feasible mark of 92
4.30pm - Dawn Parade could be worth a market check on debut for Dan Skelton. The Soldier Of Fortune filly may well be suited by the ground here. Octo Gane could get involved on debut for trainer Ben Pauling and The Long Point also looks like one to watch out for having run well when going off favourite in a point to point last November
5.03pm - Patch Man looks an interesting newcomer for Sir Mark Prescott on debut with Sean Bowen taking the ride. Handfulofpromises finished second in a point to point and makes her debut run under rules for the Skeltons. She is worth a market check.

If LET’S GO AMIGO takes to fences at the first time of asking he could be the answer in a race devoid of a standout candidate Kim Bailey’s charge was a good third in a Ludlow handicap hurdle off a 3lb higher mark last spring, a race he may well have won but for encountering traffic problems at a crucial stage. Chantilly Rose didn’t show much over hurdles but she wouldn’t be the first from this yard to improve for the switch to fences, while Samtara and What A Steal are others to consider
