THE JOCKEY CLUB WELCOMES YOU
A warm welcome to Huntingdon Racecourse for our spectacular season finale, Dino-Mite Day! For the last time this season, jumps racing assumes the spotlight this afternoon, showcasing a remarkable roster of horses and jockeys chasing glory on track.
I would like to extend a heartfelt gratitude to Racing TV for their generous sponsorship, throughout this season and for today’s racecard As the season draws to a close, the Fairfax Leading Trainers and Jockeys competition has unfolded with definitive results. Paddy Brennan has emerged triumphant, surpassing the challenges posed by Sean Bowen. In the trainers’ standings, Fergal O’Brien has maintained his lead, solidifying his position in first place.
Alongside the thrilling races, Huntingdon Racecourse offers a diverse range of facilities to enhance the race day experience for the whole family Take the kids on an adventure to Lentons Lawn, where they will encounter some Curious Creatures or have them burn off bank holiday energy on the bouncy castles
Don’t miss the extraordinary opportunity for them to meet and even hold baby dinosaurs at Dino Base Camp, located in the main enclosure, and make sure to keep your eyes peeled for a roaming live T-Rex between racing, adding a touch of prehistoric marvel to their racing experience.
Annual badges will be on sale soon Be the first to know by signing up to Huntingdon’s mailing list on our website www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/huntingdon. Stay connected to ensure you secure your spot for the upcoming season
Our sincerest appreciation to all our valued guests who have joined us throughout the season at Huntingdon Racecourse this year As we bid farewell for now, we would like to wish everyone a fantastic summer ahead. We can’t wait to welcome you back this Autumn for the next renewal of the National Hunt season
As my tenure as Chairman comes to an end, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for the opportunity to serve Huntingdon Racecourse over the last 5 years. Please join me in welcoming Nick Wright who takes on the post as of next season.
As always, I hope that you have a fantastic time at Huntingdon this afternoon and wish the horses and their connections the very best of luck

Emergency Evacuation
Huntingdon Racecourse has significantly enhanced Safety and Security measures this year to enhance your safety, comfort and enjoyment of the day. However, an incident may occur which is beyond our control and it is important that you are aware of how we intend to look after you in the event of an emergency. As part of our safety management, we have employed professionally trained and experienced stewards and you will see them at various points throughout the racecourse. In the event of a situation, which requires partial or full evacuation of the stands or racecourse, announcements will be broadcast and stewards will undertake the responsibility of ushering you to a place of safety; it is essential that you follow their instructions. Please take your immediate belongings with you and proceed out of the area quickly and calmly with the guidance of the stewards. The evacuation procedures have been carefully planned to lead you to a safe area. Should it be necessary to evacuate the course itself, there will be two main options; firstly to return to your vehicles if safe to do so and leave via the main entrance. Secondly, should it not be safe to return to your vehicles, you will be requested to leave via an emergency evacuation gate, either to the assembly Point behind the Clubhouse, overflow to the picnic car park or if both these areas are compromised then to use the Centre of the Course, where you will receive further instructions. It may give you peace of mind if you pre plan and agree a meeting place, just in case you become separated from your party. The above is precautionary only and we trust that the procedures will never be required. However, in the event of an emergency, remember; take your belongings with you under the directions of the Stewards, proceed quickly and calmly to the safe area.
IMPORTANT NOTICES
Health And Safety Notice
The Racecourse would be grateful if racegoers would observe all Health and Safety requirements whilst at Huntingdon Racecourse. The Emergency Exits from the Bars onto the Grandstand steppings are painted yellow and we would appreciate it if Racegoers would not stop in this area. We would also be grateful if only those that are Disabled use the Disabled Viewing Ramp and that parents keep a close eye on children and prevent them from climbing on the running rails and getting onto the actual racecourse. We would also like to remind racegoers that the FIRST AID room is located on the ground floor of the Cromwell Stand. Public access is prohibited to the Centre Course.
Racehorse & Jockey Welfare
The welfare of the sport’s equine and human participants is paramount to British Horseracing. All racehorses competing in Britain are stabled at the premises of trainers who are licensed by The British Horseracing Authority. The standards demanded by The BHA of licensed racehorse trainers far exceed those prescribed by animal welfare legislation. The British Horseracing Authority similarly licenses every racecourse, setting high standards for the racing surface and all parts of the course used by competitors, both human and equine. BHA Officials ensure that racecourses delivers these standards. In addition Huntingdon Racecourse employs three veterinary surgeons, whose sole responsibility it is to provide care to the horses throughout their time at the racecourse. In the event of an incident on the racecourse, any horse affected will receive immediate treatment from the racecourse’s veterinary team. Qualified paramedics and doctors are also on hand in the case of any incident vinvolving a jockey.
If any incident occurs during a race it is routine practice for screens to be erected around the horse or jockey receiving treatment. This is to allow the veterinary or medical personnel to make a safe and accurate diagnosis and so that they may perform any treatment in a private and calm environment. If necessary, horses and riders will be transported from the course to receive further treatment at the nearest equine hospital or Accident & Emergency hospital.
Photography
Racegoers please note it is not permitted to take photographs on racecourses except within the areas normally open to the public. Amateur photographers must ensure that they do not intrude upon areas used by professional photographers. Flash photography is not permitted in any circumstances.
