THE JOCKEY CLUB
WELCOMES YOU
A very warm welcome to Huntingdon’s highlight of the season, the Fitzdares Peterborough Chase Day!
Today promises to bring you the highest quality action spread over an electric seven race card headlined by the Grade 2 Fitzdares Peterborough Chase at 2:55pm. Run at two and a half miles, this contest has thrown up some of the most memorable winners such as Desert Orchid, Top Notch, Remittance Man and Edredon Bleu who won a record four consecutive times from 1998 to 2001. The final race on today’s card is the Mares’ Open National Hunt bumper proudly named after eight times Peterborough Chase winning trainer, Henrietta Knight. I would like to take this opportunity to extend our huge appreciation to Fitzdares for supporting today’s racing. We hope you have a thoroughly enjoyable day here with us at Huntingdon. On course there is no shortage of food and beverage options to warm even the coldest of December days as you enjoy today’s thrilling racing. Refreshments can be found in a number of bars across the site as well as several outdoor concession stands for you to choose from. In addition to the live music entertainment keeping you company throughout the racecourse, British Racing School will be displaying what it takes to be a jockey with a demonstration on an equicizer. Any volunteers welcome! Huntingdon has made dramatic improvements across the site in the last year, including the completion of a new integrity tower, 16 brand new stable boxes and we have begun the replacement of the grandstand cladding. Looking ahead to the festive season, Boxing Day at Huntingdon is not one to be missed. Offering something for everyone with live music, plenty of family entertainment and competitive racing. Our 2022/23 annual badge packages are also on sale, which include admission to all our fixtures throughout the season. Please enquire in the office today or purchase online at www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/huntingdon. I hope that you have a wonderful time at Huntingdon this afternoon and wish all our connections the very best of luck.
