THE JOCKEY CLUB

WELCOMES YOU

Welcome to Huntingdon Racecourse.

Welcome to Huntingdon for our Season Opener, the first of 19 fixtures that run throughout our 2022/23 season. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our generous sponsors, Racing TV, as well as the Bowen family for supporting the third race on the card; the Skomal Memorial Novices’ Hurdle. We also have two races dedicated in loving memory of avid race fans, Phillip Youle and Clive Graham. We have an exciting season ahead, with Fergal O’Brien and Sam Twiston-Davies looking to defend their Fairfax Leading Trainer and Jockey titles. Plus, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for possible contenders for the Cheltenham Festival appearing on our course throughout the season. Sharps Bar and Gurneys will be closed today however we invite you to enjoy Lentons and Hurdles bars as well as several outdoor food concession units for you to choose from. Our 2022/23 annual badge packages are now on sale, which includes admission to all our fixtures throughout the season. Please enquire in the office today, or purchase these online. Tickets are available for the much sought-after Peterborough Chase and Boxing Day fixtures via our website: www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/huntingdon or direct from the office. Be sure to make the most of the winter season by bringing the whole family down for a grand day out at one of our sensational days of racing. We would like to make you aware that works to improve the exterior of the main grandstand are ongoing and will mean that small sections of the trackside viewing steps will be out of action due to the required scaffolding. There will also be some scaffolding on the parade ring side of the Grandstand at various stages over the course of the first part of the race season. There remains plenty of track side viewing in the remainder of the Grandstand and on the steps of the Cromwell stand and we are working hard to ensure the works are completed as quickly as possible to enhance your raceday experience. I hope that you have a fantastic time at Huntingdon this afternoon, and with the exciting line up of race days ahead, we would like to wish all the owners, trainers, jockeys and stable staff best of luck for the season.
