The feature race on this afternoon’s card is the “Paxtons” Heart Of All England Maiden Hunters Chase for maiden 5 year old’s and upwards. This race was ﬁrst run at Hexham in 1907 and we are delighted Paxtons Agricultural Machinery Dealers based in Pity Me with branches throughout the north east have once again agreed to sponsor this prestigious Hunter Chase, along with a further two races on the card. It is good to see the entries for “Heart Of All England” are the highest since 2018 and we expect a good renewal this afternoon.

A warm welcome to the Harrison Family who have kindly sponsored the Novice Hurdle at this meeting for the past few years together with ﬁrst time sponsors the Wharton family and Charlie Bebbington who are here both celebrating major birthdays.

HENDERSON SUITE

The Henderson Suite offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, course as well as both the parade ring and winners enclosure. Capable of seating up to 120 guests, The Henderson Suite where we serve our 4 course carvery buffet on a race day, is also ideal for entertaining, corporate hospitality and on non raceday’s provides the ideal venue for business conferences, seminars and weddings or other social functions.

THE CURLEW ROOM

Situated on the ﬁrst ﬂoor of the Ramshaw Stand, offering wonderful views of the course Tickets for The Curlew Room are available (minimum 2 persons) which provide your own table for the day. The Curlew Room has its own Britbet betting facility, closed circuit TV and serves a range of snack food and refreshments

Situated on the 2nd ﬂoor of the Ramshaw Stand. Offering a wide variety of catering options, the boxes are available to hire individually, accommodating between 20 -25 persons or can be conﬁgured to host up to 80 persons seated. Providing wonderful views of the racecourse the rooms have their own Britbet betting facility, Closed Circuit TV, well stocked bar as well as a seating area at the rear of the boxes.

THE CHASE BAR

Situated on the ground floor of the Ramshaw Stand this attractive bar with a stained glass backdrop and flagged floor has its own Britbet betting facility, closed circuit TV and allows access on to the club lawn for perfect viewing of the racing.

BET TING WITH THE BOOKMAKERS

DIFFERENT WAYS TO BET - WIN OR EACH-WAY

The two main types of bet are win and each-way. For win bets, your horse needs to win the race outright An each-way bet is effectively two bets – one for your horse to win and one for it to be placed. So a £2 each-way bet will cost £4 A bookmaker taking each-way bets will display the terms on which they accept such bets on their board. In conjunction with The RCA, the bookmakers have introduced standard each-way terms. Bookmakers will provide these terms, or better, when offering each-way betting.
