The Jockey Club would like to thank our Group Partners for their support in 2026
Welcome to Haydock Park and thank you for joining us for today’s racing.
On behalf of everyone at the racecourse, I am delighted to welcome you for what promises to be an enjoyable afternoon. Whether you are a regular visitor or attending Haydock Park for the first time, we are proud to have you with us and hope you enjoy the unique atmosphere that a raceday here always delivers.
Today’s card has attracted a strong line-up of runners and connections, and we look forward to an afternoon of flat racing.
The feature race, The Pitch Perfect EBF Maiden Stakes, looks promising with an exciting line up of three-year-old horses. I would like to thank ICL group for their kind sponsorship of the whole card today and our partners for their valued support, as well as our raceday team whose hard work helps make events like this possible.

PLAY SMARTER
LION OF MALI proved tenacious as he made it 3 wins from his 4 starts at Leicester4 weeks ago, seeing off re-opposing Eduardo Calderon by 1/2 length in the process. He looks to hold sound claims again from a 2lb higher mark provided forecast slower ground doesn’t pose any fears. The aforementioned rival remains low mileage and is feared, as is recent Wetherby eyecatcher Supreme Clarets. Euphonia scored convincingly at Leicester and completes the shortlist.

RACEHORSE & JOCKEY WELFARE
The welfare of the sport’s equine and human participants is paramount to British Horseracing. All racehorses competing in Britain are stabled at the premises of trainers who are licensed by The British Horseracing Authority The standards demanded by The BHA of licensed racehorse trainers far exceed those prescribed by animal welfare legislation The British Horseracing Authority similarly licenses every racecourse, setting high standards for the racing surface and all parts of the course used by competitors, both human and equine. BHA Officials ensure that racecourses delivers these standards In addition Haydock Park Racecourse employs a minimum of three veterinary surgeons, whose sole responsibility it is to provide care to the horses throughout their time at the racecourse In the event of an incident on the racecourse, any horse affected will receive immediate treatment from the racecourse’s veterinary team. Qualified paramedics and doctors are also on hand in the case of any incident involving a jockey If any incident occurs during a race it is routine practice for screens to be erected around the horse or jockey receiving treatment. This is to allow the veterinary or medical personnel to make a safe and accurate diagnosis and so that they may perform any treatment in a private and calm environment. If necessary, horses and riders will be transported from the course to receive further treatment at the nearest equine hospital or Accident & Emergency hospital
