The Jockey Club would like to thank our Group Partners for their support in 2026
HelloandaverywarmwelcometoHaydockParkonPertempsSwinton Hurdle Day – we are delighted to have you here with us.
Today’s fixture is one of the most unique in the racing calendar, holding the distinction of being the only mixed card in the country and bringing together the excitement of both Flat and Jump racing on the same afternoon.
It is a raceday that perfectly showcases the versatility and variety of our sport, providing something for every racing fan and creating a unique atmosphere here at Haydock Park
As we continue into the Flat season, it has been particularly pleasing to see recent Haydock form strongly represented in the first Classic of the season We were delighted to see the 2025 Haydock winner, Bow Echo go on to claim Classic success in the 2000 Guineas under Billy Loughnane for trainer George Boughey - a tremendous achievement and a reminder of the quality of horses that race here throughout the season.
Today’s card once again offers competitive action across both codes, and we are grateful to the owners, trainers, jockeys, stable staff, and officials whose support makes fixtures like this possible
I would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Pertemps for their valued sponsorship of today’s raceday and continued support of racing at Haydock Park
Our team across the racecourse has worked hard to ensure an enjoyable experience for all racegoers, with excellent hospitality, food and drink options, and entertainment available throughout the day.
Thank you for joining us at Haydock Park. I hope you enjoy this unique afternoon of racing and wish all connections the very best of luck

Lots with chances but Dan Skelton’s TRANQUIL SEA scored in convincing style at Plumpton recently and still makes plenty of appeal despite a 7lb hike. Nicky Henderson’s reliable mare La Pinsonniere could prove the chief threat now she steps up to 3m for the first time. Flying Fortune is another to consider in this highly competitive handicap
