Welcome to Haydock Park for Racing Welfare Charity Raceday – Friday 4th September It is a pleasure to welcome you to the second day of our Betfair Sprint Cup Meeting and, importantly, to our Racing Welfare Charity Raceday. Racing Welfare plays an incredibly important role within our sport, providing professional support and advice to the racing community across the country. From mental health and wellbeing support to careers advice, financial guidance and practical assistance, Racing Welfare is there to support people working in racing throughout their careers and at times when they need help most. We are delighted to dedicate today’s fixture to their work and encourage everyone visiting Haydock Park to find out more about the charity and the support it provides. Management reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the racecourse any person without assigning a reason. In particular, any instance of unruly behaviour, such as drunkenness, abusive conduct, singing or shouting, shall entitle the Racecourse Executive to expel the offending racegoer without prior notice. Racegoers must abide by any regulations including the observance of designated non-drinking areas and standards of dress. Premier Enclosure - tie and smart trousers (no jeans) for gentlemen and best day wear for ladies. County Enclosure - smart dress for both ladies and gentlemen is advised. Fancy dress, sportswear (including training shoes) or swimwear are not permitted. Grandstand & Paddock & Be Friendly Enclosures - no dress code. Fancy dress is permitted but please make sure your outfit is not offensive to others. Only individuals in possession of a valid betting badge and occupying an authorised pitch are entitled to lay bets in the course of their business. Any individuals found contravening these conditions will be evicted. Members of the public may not use two-way radios, scanning receivers etc, for any purpose at the racecourse.

THE COURSE IS FOR HORSES Please keep off the track. The track is for horses, their jockeys and stable staff, please keep them and yourselves safe by remaining inside the barriers. Anyone trespassing on the track will be: Liable to arrest and prosecution; Ejected immediately; Banned from all future Haydock Park race meetings; May face a nationwide racecourse ban.
HEALTH AND SAFETY NOTICE The Racecourse would be grateful if you would observe all Health & Safety requirements whilst you are at Haydock Park Racecourse. We would request that only those that are disabled use the disabled viewing area and that parents keep a close eye on all children and prevent them from climbing the running rails and getting on to the actual racecourse. We would also like to remind racegoers that we do have a first aid room. Should anyone require any assistance please speak to the nearest steward.

NOTICES Weights, Pedigrees, Trainers’ Names, Descriptions, Performances and Values of races have been added for the convenience of the Public, but are subject to alteration. All horses must parade in the Parade Ring except by permission of the Stewards, but in all cases must pass through the Ring on the way to the Post.
PARADE RING ACCESS In the interests of safety, access to the parade ring is strictly limited to Owners and Trainers with runners in the race, British Horseracing Authority Officials and Racecourse Officials who are on duty at the meeting and Emergency Service Personnel. Those people holding badges or accreditation that allow access to the Parade Ring are asked to refrain from entering this area unless it is absolutely necessary in the course of their business.
PHOTOGRAPHY Racegoers may take photographs for private purposes in the public enclosures. Under no circumstances may photographs taken on the racecourse be used for publication without prior accreditation being obtained. Flash photography is not permitted anywhere in the Parade Ring or Winner’s Enclosure areas, or anywhere in the close vicinity of horses. The official photographer is John Grossick. HBLB PRIZE MONEY The Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB) has allocated £77.1m in prize money for 2026. Since 2000 HBLB has invested £1.5bn in prize money to support the British horseracing industry.
RACEHORSE & JOCKEY WELFARE The welfare of the sport’s equine and human participants is paramount to British Horseracing. All racehorses competing in Britain are stabled at the premises of trainers who are licensed by The British Horseracing Authority. The standards demanded by The BHA of licensed racehorse trainers far exceed those prescribed by animal welfare legislation. The British Horseracing Authority similarly licenses every racecourse, setting high standards for the racing surface and all parts of the course used by competitors, both human and equine. BHA Officials ensure that racecourses delivers these standards. In addition Haydock Park Racecourse employs a minimum of three veterinary surgeons, whose sole responsibility it is to provide care to the horses throughout their time at the racecourse. In the event of an incident on the racecourse, any horse affected will receive immediate treatment from the racecourse’s veterinary team. Qualified paramedics and doctors are also on hand in the case of any incident involving a jockey. If any incident occurs during a race it is routine practice for screens to be erected around the horse or jockey receiving treatment. This is to allow the veterinary or medical personnel to make a safe and accurate diagnosis and so that they may perform any treatment in a private and calm environment. If necessary, horses and riders will be transported from the course to receive further treatment at the nearest equine hospital or Accident & Emergency hospital.
