Welcome

Welcome to Haydock Park Racecourse.

This racecard will provide you with all the information you will need for your time with us. Should you wish for information about future fixtures, please scan the QR code below. We hope you enjoy your visit.

The Jockey Club would like to thank our Group Partners for their support in 2024

CODE OF CONDUCT

As part of our joint commitment to each other and the communities in which we operate, all racegoers should be aware of the Code of Conduct and observe the following whilst at our Racecourse.

For the safety of other racegoers and racecourse staff, please consider wearing a face covering in busy indoor areas or outside where social distancing cannot be maintained.

If you feel you may be experiencing any of the recognised symptoms of Covid-19, please put on a face covering and speak to a member of staff in a well ventilated area. It is best to travel home if it is safe to do so

Regularly wash your hands, use hand sanitiser and avoid touching your face and dispose of any used tissues appropriately.

Familiarise yourself with your entry point and the location of amenities within the racecourse.

We are operating a cashless event. On-course bookmakers/pool betting operators may accept cash

Enjoy the vast amounts of space around the racecourse and avoid congregating in busy areas (for example, along the rail or by the Winning Post).

Make sure all walkways, corridors and doorways etc are clear before you walk through.

Follow all signage and the instructions of staff, officials or any emergency service personnel present at the racecourse.

Make sure other members of your group have read and understood these guidelines

Thank you so much for your continued support and co-operation

We hope you have a wonderful day with us

JILL WILCOX-JONES

Jill Wilcox-Jones was an adored wife, mother and grandmother who sadly died from leukaemia in 2016. She had received a stem cell transplant that was facilitated by the wonderful blood cancer charity, Anthony Nolan, which we continue to support.

Jill’s professional career was dedicated to mental health and she spent the last 15 years of her working life, as a Principal Psychological Therapist for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (North Wales). The greatest part of her role, was to improve the health outcomes of people suffering from cancer.

It was a service that she was responsible for setting up and it was held in high regard. After Jill died, the health board set up an annual award in her name, to celebrate the hugely positive contribution she made to services in North Wales. She is forever missed and loved by her family.

RENEWAL: Following its run on 19/6/2024 it was reported that the horse was slowly away.

JEWELOFLONDON sets a decent standard having finished fourth in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot 2 weeks ago Shining Pearl showed plenty of ability at Thirsk and is sure to improve, so rates the main threat, though Renewal and Celestial Orbit also showed something to work on starting out.

GREAT BRITISH BONUS SCHEME

The Great British Bonus (GBB) offers multiple bonuses of up to £20,000 per eligible race for British-bred fillies and mares.

VETS SCREEN POLICY

We have agreed with our vets that the screen should be erected, whenever a horse requires veterinary treatment on the course. This does not reflect the severity of an injury, but does help to provide a calm environment, in which the vet is better able to treat the horse.

Please do not assume the worst if you see screens erected around a fallen horse.

In the hope the removal of a hood doesn’t backfire, APOTHEOSIS is selected to build on a most-encouraging debut third at Kempton a month ago Surrey Shadow was noted finishing with running left at Doncaster so he has to command respect, as do Coppull Hall Lane and Amsterdam in what could be a deep novice.
