SATURDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2023

SATURDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2023
It’s officially time to wave goodbye to what has been an incredible summer here at the racecourse From the Temple Stakes to Ladies’ Day, Nile Rodgers and CHIC to the highlight of the Sprint Cup, it has been an amazing few months and we have all thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many of you enjoying the top-class racing we’ve been honoured to host.
Action on the track this afternoon gets underway at 2.10pm, with a further six races to follow Around the racecourse you’ll find the Fat Cats providing the perfect soundtrack to your day.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank House of Cavani, who sponsor all seven races on the card today. We work closely with the men’s fashion brand across The Jockey Club, and it’s lovely to have them here with us today. Close to the Kauto Star statue near County Entrance you’ll find a House of Cavani photo wall providing the perfect backdrop for all of your photos. Make sure you head over to make the most of it!
After today we next race on the 20th of October, a date which will see our final flat fixture of the 2022/23 season take place. After that, it’s all systems go for the Betfair Chase, the first Grade One race of the Jumps calendar which takes place right here at Haydock Park!
For now, I wish you all a wonderful day with us.
Warm wishes,
FRIDAY 20th OCTOBER

1. FORM EXPERTVIEWAs part of our joint commitment to each other and the communities in which we operate, all racegoers should be aware of the Code of Conduct and observe the following whilst at our Racecourse.
For the safety of other racegoers and racecourse staff, please consider wearing a face covering in busy indoor areas or outside where social distancing cannot be maintained.
If you feel you may be experiencing any of the recognised symptoms of Covid-19, please put on a face covering and speak to a member of staff in a well ventilated area. It is best to travel home if it is safe to do so
Regularly wash your hands, use hand sanitiser and avoid touching your face and dispose of any used tissues appropriately.
Familiarise yourself with your entry point and the location of amenities within the racecourse.
We are operating a cashless event. On-course bookmakers/pool betting operators may accept cash
Enjoy the vast amounts of space around the racecourse and avoid congregating in busy areas (for example, along the rail or by the Winning Post).
Make sure all walkways, corridors and doorways etc are clear before you walk through.
Follow all signage and the instructions of staff, officials or any emergency service personnel present at the racecourse.
Make sure other members of your group have read and understood these guidelines.
Thank you so much for your continued support and co-operation

It’s hard to get away from BOLSENA, who did well to finish as close as she did given how green she was when runner-up over C&D just over 3 weeks ago She can get the better of Zainabb, who has shown plenty of ability on both outings so far and can take another step forward here. Marama looks a newcomer to note for her top yard, so she rounds off the shortlist.

BURDETT and Gone Rogue both looked pretty professional second time out when landing maidens at Ffos Las and Musselburgh respectively, and they could be the pair to focus on here with likelihood of better to come. The welfare of the sport’s equine and human participants is paramount to British Horseracing. All racehorses competing in Britain are stabled at the premises of trainers who are licensed by The British Horseracing Authority The standards demanded by The BHA of licensed racehorse trainers far exceed those prescribed by animal welfare legislation The British Horseracing Authority similarly licenses every racecourse, setting high standards for the racing surface and all parts of the course used by competitors, both human and equine. BHA Officials ensure that racecourses delivers these standards In addition Haydock Park Racecourse employs a minimum of three veterinary surgeons, whose sole responsibility it is to provide care to the horses throughout their time at the racecourse In the event of an incident on the racecourse, any horse affected will receive immediate treatment from the racecourse’s veterinary team. Qualified paramedics and doctors are also on hand in the case of any incident involving a jockey If any incident occurs during a race it is routine practice for screens to be erected around the horse or jockey receiving treatment. This is to allow the veterinary or medical personnel to make a safe and accurate diagnosis and so that they may perform any treatment in a private and calm environment. If necessary, horses and riders will be transported from the course to receive further treatment at the nearest equine hospital or Accident & Emergency hospital
