Hello and a very warm welcome to Haydock Park and the first of three days of fantastic racing!
The Sprint Cup Celebration encompasses three days of thrilling action on the track as we welcome some of the most exciting horses in training to Merseyside
The Betfair Sprint Cup, which takes place over six furlongs on Saturday afternoon, is a Group One Race worth £400,000 and this year’s renewal looks like one of the most exciting we’ve ever had - so if you’re not already planning on coming along, make sure you do!
As for today, the action gets underway at 2pm with the F4 Waste For Total Waste Management Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Stakes The last runners and riders will go to post at 5.10pm before we call it a day for the first afternoon of this year’s Sprint Cup Celebration.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who are supporting racing today, including F4 Waste For Total Waste Management, AC Plastics, Clarke & Sons Nursery, the EBF and HC promotions. The last race of the day is also being ran in celebration of Linda Williams, who we would all like to wish a very happy birthday to.
Thank you all for coming to Haydock Park today, we look forward to seeing you again very soon.
Warm wishes,
Molly Dingwall General ManagerDON’T FORGET OUR NEXT MEETING TOMORROW - FRIDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER SPRINT CUP CELEBRATION
With an action-packed three days of racing on offer, there’s still plenty of excitement to look forward to and as always, a warm Haydock Park welcome.

9. Days since the horse last run
10. Horse’s age
11. Jockey’s weight (stone and lbs)

Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.
‘To win’ is for your horse to come first.
‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.
Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.
Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.
Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.
1. FORM EXPERTVIEWAs part of our joint commitment to each other and the communities in which we operate, all racegoers should be aware of the Code of Conduct and observe the following whilst at our Racecourse.
For the safety of other racegoers and racecourse staff, please consider wearing a face covering in busy indoor areas or outside where social distancing cannot be maintained.
If you feel you may be experiencing any of the recognised symptoms of Covid-19, please put on a face covering and speak to a member of staff in a well ventilated area. It is best to travel home if it is safe to do so
Regularly wash your hands, use hand sanitiser and avoid touching your face and dispose of any used tissues appropriately.
Familiarise yourself with your entry point and the location of amenities within the racecourse.
We are operating a cashless event. On-course bookmakers/pool betting operators may accept cash
Enjoy the vast amounts of space around the racecourse and avoid congregating in busy areas (for example, along the rail or by the Winning Post).
Make sure all walkways, corridors and doorways etc are clear before you walk through.
Follow all signage and the instructions of staff, officials or any emergency service personnel present at the racecourse.
Make sure other members of your group have read and understood these guidelines.
Thank you so much for your continued support and co-operation
We hope you have a wonderful day with us
We’ll always pay at least SP on Win bets and if the Tote dividend is greater, we’ll pay out at that price. ELMONJED has already been gelded but he’s bred to be pretty smart and he wasn’t extended to make a winning debut at Lingfield 17 days ago. On that evidence, he’s more than capable of defying a penalty, with Finbar Furey and First Encore likely to offer most resistance.

Apotentially deep contest despite the small field, with the unbeaten ROYALMILA fancied to confirm the abundant promise of her 2 novice successes now switching to handicaps. TIMEFORM
PLAY SMARTER
I bought Robin to his forever home just over two years ago. When I went to see him, I knew I just had to have him. It took me three weeks to persuade the girl who had him at the time to sell him and informed his previous owners he was now in my care. It took him a good while to trust me and to feel comfortable around me so spent plenty of time with him and just let him be a horse and gave him time to chill out with his three new friends.
He has become a favourite on our yard and is an absolute gent to be around. We started doing some inhand classes at local shows together and he took it all in his stride and we even came away with a few rosettes. We are planning on more shows together and who knows where it will take us in the future.
He had a very successful racing career round the country, even winning the trial for the Grand National at Haydock Park back in 2019 and earning his two owners over £130,000.00 in prize money. I keep in touch with his previous owners and send them regular updates on his progress and what we are up to. They are very proud that he was chosen to be the RoR ambassador for Haydock Park and really pleased he now has his forever home.
Robinsfirth will be parading in the parade ring from 1.20PM today.

The welfare of the sport’s equine and human participants is paramount to British Horseracing. All racehorses competing in Britain are stabled at the premises of trainers who are licensed by The British Horseracing Authority The standards demanded by The BHA of licensed racehorse trainers far exceed those prescribed by animal welfare legislation The British Horseracing Authority similarly licenses every racecourse, setting high standards for the racing surface and all parts of the course used by competitors, both human and equine. BHA Officials ensure that racecourses delivers these standards In addition Haydock Park Racecourse employs a minimum of three veterinary surgeons, whose sole responsibility it is to provide care to the horses throughout their time at the racecourse In the event of an incident on the racecourse, any horse affected will receive immediate treatment from the racecourse’s veterinary team. Qualified paramedics and doctors are also on hand in the case of any incident involving a jockey If any incident occurs during a race it is routine practice for screens to be erected around the horse or jockey receiving treatment. This is to allow the veterinary or medical personnel to make a safe and accurate diagnosis and so that they may perform any treatment in a private and calm environment. If necessary, horses and riders will be transported from the course to receive further treatment at the nearest equine hospital or Accident & Emergency hospital
