EACH-WAY BETTING TERMS

Working alongside the Racecourse Association (RCA), bookmakers have introduced standard each-way betting terms across Jockey Club Racecourses. Bookmakers will provide these terms, or better, when offering each-way betting.

Fewer than 3 runners: win bets only, no places offered

3 or 4 runners: all to win Where a bookmaker wishes to depart from this default position he may offer place terms for 3 or 4 runners, this must be at 1/5 odds a place 1-2

5 to 7 runners (inclusive): 1/4 (one quarter) odds for finishing 1st or 2nd

8 or more runners: 1/5 odds for finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd

Handicap races with 12 to 15 runners (inclusive): 1/4 odds for finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd

Handicap races with 16 to 21 runners (inclusive): 1/5 odds for finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th

Handicap races with 22 or more runners: 1/4 odds for finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th

Abandoned Racing

In the event of abandonment before racing, or up to the ‘Weighed-in’ of the first race, there will be a full refund of badge, ticket and carparking costs. In the event of abandonment after the ‘Weighed-in’ of the first race, up to the ‘Weighed-in’ of the third race there will be a 50% refund of the badge and car parking costs. In the event of abandonment thereafter there will be no refunds No cash refunds to be paid on the day. All refunds need to be administered after the meeting, by post, to Haydock Park Racecourse, Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside, WA12 0HQ.

Conditions Of Entry To Racecourse

Management reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the racecourse any person without assigning a reason. In particular, any instance of unruly behaviour, such as drunkenness, abusive conduct, singing or shouting, shall entitle the Racecourse Executive toexpel the offending racegoer without prior notice.

Racegoers must abide by any regulations including the observance of designated non-drinking areas and standards of dress Premier Enclosure - tie and smart trousers (no jeans) for gentlemen and best day wear for ladies County Enclosure - smart dress for both ladies and gentlemen is advised. Fancy dress, sportswear (including training shoes) or swimwear are not permitted. Grandstand & Paddock & Be Friendly Enclosures - no dress code. Fancy dress is permitted but please make sure your outfit is not offensive to others.

Only individuals in possession of a valid betting badge and occupying an authorised pitch are entitled to lay bets in the course of their business. Any individuals found contravening these conditions will be evicted. Members of the public may not use two-way radios, scanning receivers etc, for any purpose at the racecourse.

Emergency Notice

In an event of an emergency please be guided by our security stewards and by messages you will see and hear around the racecourse We would advise that you keep your personal belongings with you at all times. In the event of an evacuation please do as requested by Haydock Park Management and security staff They will direct you to a safe place. Do not attempt to regain access to buildings

The Racecourse would be grateful if you would observe all Health & Safety requirements whilst you are at Haydock Park Racecourse. We would request that only those that are disabled use the disabled viewing area and that parents keepacloseeyeonallchildrenandprevent them from climbing the running rails and getting on to the actual racecourse. Weights, Pedigrees, Trainers’ Names, Descriptions, Performances and Values of races have been added for the convenience of the Public, but are subject to alteration. All horses must parade in the Parade Ring except by permission of the Stewards, but in all cases must pass through the Ring on the way to the Post

Parade Ring Access

In the interests of safety, access to the parade ring is strictly limited to Owners and Trainers with runners in the race, British Horseracing Authority Officials and Racecourse Officials who are on duty at the meeting and Emergency Service Personnel. Those people holding badges or accreditation that allow access to the Parade Ring are asked to refrain from entering this area unless it is absolutely necessary in the course of their business.

Racegoers may take photographs for private purposes in the public enclosures Under no circumstances may photographs taken on the racecourse be used for publication without prior accreditation being obtained Flash photography is not permitted anywhere in the Parade Ring or Winner’s Enclosure areas, or anywhere in the close vicinity of horses.
