PLAY SMARTER
It’s very difficult to look beyond AURORA DAWN, who did the job in good style on her recent turf debut at Newmarket and she’s a step ahead of the handicapper under a 6lb penalty Perhaps Pearly Star will improve on what she has shown in maiden/novice company now handicapping and Hugo Palmer’s charge gets the nod ahead of Pearl Eye for forecast purposes.

PLAY SMARTER
Conditions here will be very different to those under which DOG FOX made a winning reappearance at Yarmouth, but it’s likely that the improvement he showed that day was owing to the switch to handicap company, step up in trip and the addition of a hood, not the ground. Ifthat proves to be the case, Ed Dunlop’s charge should have little trouble following up here off a 4lb highermark. Edmund Ironside andWadacre Gomez maywell emerge asthe main dangers.
