Good afternoon and welcome to Hamilton Park where we have a competitive afternoon of racing ahead of us with prize money of £59,600 on offer across the seven-race card. All races this afternoon are being run at no less than £1,500 above the new BHA minimum values and the whole fixture is being run at 39% above those same values. This is all part of our continued commitment to the quality of the racing we stage here at Hamilton Park, with investment across all classes of race as we offer record prize money of £1.74M for our centenary season.
Our thanks go to all of today’s sponsors and partners; Scullion Law, The European Breeders Fund, Scottish Racing, Racing TV and our very own on-site Hampton by Hilton Hamilton Park Hotel. I hope you and your guests have a most enjoyable day’s racing with us.
Today’s sixth race has been titled to highlight Scottish Racing’s support of Racing with Pride which is British horseracing’s official network for the LGBT+ community and allies, which was launched in 2020 as a result of academic work demonstrating the need for more proactive efforts around LGBT+ inclusion within racing, and includes a support network for the community and allies as well as a working group which is responsible for wider LGBT+ activity across the sport. The group work to ensure racing is a sport where everyone can be their true selves without fear of discrimination and can be enjoyed by everyone regardless of their sexuality
On the track today we can expect some close contests, with competitive fields across the card. The #Cleanstay At Hampton By Hilton Handicap at 4.02pm sees our winning-most horse of all time Iris Dancer return to Hamilton Park after securing her tenth course win here last week. However, the 3.25pm Follow Us On X @hamilton parkrc Handicap sees the return of Jordan Electrics who currently holds nine course victories and so we could once again see history made should either Hamilton Park legend secure a win.
With heightened interest in our sport this week due to Royal Ascot, we’ll be showing all the away racing on the screens around the grounds between our own races, so if you fancy a flutter on the action in Berkshire then just head along to any Tote window, the William Hill Betting Shop or the Betting Ring where you’ll be able to place your bets We’ll be keen to see how our former Hamilton Park winners perform at Ascot today, with Seren Star (William Haggas) and Sale Shark (Hugo Palmer) set to run in the Kensington Palace Stakes (5.35pm) and Windsor Castle Stakes (6.10pm) respectively
Next week will see the return of our ever-popular Saints & Sinners Racenight, sponsored by Indigo Unified Comms, where we all come together to enjoy an evening of racing and entertainment whilst raising much needed funds for small, Scottish-based charities. A portion of every ticket sold is donated to the Saints & Sinners Club of Scotland, who then distribute the funds to worthwhile causes, so simply by buying a ticket to attend you are supporting those in need. Advance purchase tickets are available from only £27.00 at www.hamilton-park.co.uk and as always Under 18s get free admission, so I do hope to see some of you again next week.
Have an excellent afternoon and I hope you back some winners today, whether it be here or at Royal Ascot.
Kind regards
ASHLEY MOON, RACECOURSE MANAGING DIRECTOR

Commissioned in 2026 to mark Hamilton Park’s 100th year of racing, this memorial sculpture honours the late Sir Ian Good in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Hamilton Park, Scottish Racing, and the racing industry as a whole.
Sir Ian served on the Board from 1990 and as Chairman from 1999 until his passing in 2023. Under his leadership, Hamilton Park developed into one of the UK’s leading independent racecourses, including the addition of the on-site Hampton by Hilton hotel in 2019. He also played a key role nationally as founding Chairman of Scottish Racing, and held senior positions with the Racing Foundation, the Tote, and the Jockey Club.
In collaboration with the Good family, the sculpture has been created by renowned sculptor Michael Turner who specialises in creating unique, handcrafted artwork using marine grade stainless steel. With the working title of ‘A Dynamic Force’, each individual panel of stainless steel has been shaped by hand to create a sculpture that embodies the energy and excitement of horse racing, showcasing the power and grace of the horse in motion alongside the unique harmony that exists between horse and jockey.
Located between the Hampton by Hilton Hotel and the Sir Ian Good Grandstand, this sculpture stands as a lasting tribute to his vision, leadership, and legacy
The design includes subtle tributes to Sir Ian’s life and legacy, so please do visit the sculpture to see them for yourself.

This is a one mile and three furlongs handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 46 to 60 In a handicap the weight that each of the runners carries is determined by their official handicap rating which is based on their level of form shown so far. The aim is to ensure competitive racing by asking the higher rated horses to carry more weight than a lower rated rival. As a guide, horses rated 40 tend to be at the lower end of the scale whilst the very best performers would be rated as high as 130.

RACE DESCRIPTION
This race is a five furlongs maiden stakes for two-year-olds. Maiden races provide a starting point for young horses that are yet to record a victory and most will be very lightly-raced or be making their racecourse debuts. Previous experience can count for a lot when searching for the winner but well-bred or precocious juveniles are more than capable of landing the prize at the first time of asking.

RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a five furlongs handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 66 to 85. To qualify for a handicap rating horses must have run at least three times in a Flat race in Britain, or have run in no more than two Flat races run in Britain and

This is a six furlongs handicap race for four-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 51 to 70. Once a horse has qualified for a handicap rating this is regularly reassessed. A below-par effort could result in a reduced rating whilst a strong performance could see the rating increased. Occasionally, horses are entered to race before their handicap rating has been reviewed and so to avoid recent winners being un-penalised they are allotted a mandatory penalty – usually 6lb.
Leading course trainer (20-25): J Goldie (72 wins from 501 runners, 14%) runs CATALYSE and DOON THE GLEN Trainer-in-form (last 14 days): J Goldie (7 wins from 36 runners, 19%) runs CATALYSE and DOON THE GLEN Weightwatcher: IRIS DANCER won off a handicap mark of 68, her rating is now down 8lb to 60. RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a one mile handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards fillies and mares only which have been rated from 56 to 75. Like most handicaps on the flat this race is also open to horses that are rated below that particular band. However, all handicaps stipulate a minimum weight and no runner can carry less than that, irrespective of how low their rating is. This is often described as ‘running from out of the handicap’ and is considered a disadvantage

RACE
This is a one mile handicap race for three-year-olds only which have been rated from 56 to 75. In a handicap the weight that each of the runners carries is determined by their official handicap rating which is based on their level of form shown so far. The aim is to ensure competitive racing by asking the higher rated horses to carry more weight than a lower rated rival. As a guide, horses rated 40 tend to be at the lower end of the scale whilst the very best performers would be rated as high as 130.

This is a one mile and three furlongs handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 46 to 65. To qualify for a handicap rating horses must have run at least three times in a Flat race in Britain, or have run in no more than two Flat races run in Britain and won at least one of them. This rating then dictates the weight to be carried in a handicap In simple terms a horse rated 65 in this particular race would be required to carry 5lb more than a rival rated 60.
