A very warm welcome to our Cube Glass Ladies’ Night, with a fantastic line up of entertainment on and off the track with JLS star Aston Merrygold, RuPaul’s Drag Race finalist Baga Chipz, TV and radio presenter Mark Wright plus Capital Scotland’s Katy J and Fat Brestovci all here to enjoy the party.
A big thank you to our new title sponsors of Ladies’ Night, Lanarkshire-based glazing company Cube Glass Ltd. Gary Thorn and his team design, supply and install a variety of products involving aluminium and glass. These include windows, bi-folding doors, sliding doors, standard doors, curtain walling, balconies, glazed roofs and internal glazed partitions, so do take a look at www.cube-glass. com if you have an upcoming project. I’d also like to thank our other race sponsors Jordan Electrics, Lorne Bar Oban, PDM Buildbase, Apex Traffic Management and MacGregor Flooring. Your support is very much appreciated, and I hope you and your guests all have a wonderful night.
My thanks also go to the incredible team here at Hamilton Park who have worked tirelessly to create tonight’s event for you all to enjoy.
History could be made in tonight’s feature race, the Class 2 Cube Glass ‘Soba’ Handicap Stakes worth £30,000 at 7.40pm, which has a competitive field for what is sure to be a fast and furious contest over five furlongs. Jordan Electrics, owned by Brian Jordan Snr, Brian Jordan, Stephen Jordan and Nicky McConnell, is a true course specialist having won four of his last five races at Hamilton Park, most recently taking the honours in the Scottish Stewards Cup on Friday 19 July, breaking his own course record over the distance Victory this evening would solidify Jordan Electrics’ status as the winning-most horse in Hamilton Park history with nine wins, surpassing the current record of eight wins held by Hopes N Dreams, Diet and Economic Crisis. We wish all of this evening’s runners and riders the very best of luck.
As ever we have some additional experience bars in place for this evening’s fixture including our Boë Bar and the ever-popular Moët & Chandon Champagne Bar where you can enjoy a glass of fizz or two. Both bars are situated around the main catwalk stage and offer prime viewing of this evenings’ off-track entertainment.
Throughout the evening we have an exciting line up of fashion shows and competitions with some incredible prizes up for grabs. Our Best Dressed Lady competition, sponsored by Rocca Boujee Brunch, gets underway at 5.15pm so be sure to register to enter at the Moët Bar from 4.30pm. Cosmedicare are sponsoring our fabulous flower wall next to the Information Kiosk, so do head along and get your pictures taken and of course share them on social media using #Hamiltonraces. It’s not all about the ladies’ though as our secret spotters will be in the crowd to find our Slater Menswear Man of Style 2024. Join us at the Catwalk Stage at 6.45pm to find out which dapper gent will be walking away with tonight’s wonderful list of prizes! As well as performing after racing this evening, Baga Chipz is the special guest judge of our fabulous fashion competitions and will also be appearing in the Winners’ Enclosure with Mark Wright after the third race at 7.15pm.
JLS star Aston Merrygold will get the live entertainment underway in style when he takes to the stage at 4.15pm for what is sure to be a great performance After the last race Baga Chipz will treat us to a live performance before Mark Wright starts spinning the decks for the after party, so make sure you stay with us to dance the night away until 11pm.
Have a great night and I hope you back a winner or two!

ONE MILE, ONE FURLONG about 35 YARDS (9f abt 35yds) (1800m)
RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a one mile and one furlong handicap race for threeyear-olds and upwards which have been rated from 46 to 52. In a handicap the weight that each of the runners carries is determined by their official handicap rating which is based on their level of form shown so far. The aim is to ensure competitive racing by asking the higher rated horses to carry more weight than a lower rated rival. As a guide, horses rated 40 tend to be at the lower end of the scale whilst the very best performers would be rated as high as 130.

about FIVE FURLONGS (5f abt 7yds) (1000m)
This is a five furlongs handicap race for four-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 59 to 78. Once a horse has qualified for a handicap rating this is regularly reassessed. A below-par effort could result in a reduced rating whilst a strong performance could see the rating increased. Occasionally, horses are entered to race before their handicap rating has been reviewed and so to avoid recent winners being un-penalised they are allotted a mandatory penalty – usually 6lb
Leading course trainer (19-24): J Goldie (46 wins from 385 runners, 12%) runs CLASSY AL Trainer-in-form (last 14 days): E Bethell (7 wins from 22 runners, 32%) runs CAVALIER APPROACH

BETTING FORECAST: 11-8 Night On Earth (IRE), 10-3 Cavalier Approach (IRE), 4-1 Classy Al (GB), 9-1 Reigning Profit (IRE), 14-1 Borough (GB)
RACE SUMMARY: NIGHT ON EARTH is all speed and with a 3lb rise for his York win a week ago looking very fair, he’s fancied to make all. RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a five furlongs handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 79 to 98. Like most handicaps on the flat this race is also open to horses that are rated below that particular band. However, all handicaps stipulate a mi nimum weight and no runner can carry less than that, irrespective of how low their rating is. This is often described as ‘running from out of the handicap’ and is considered a disadvantage
Leading course trainer (19-24):
J Goldie (46 wins from 385 runners, 12%) runs JORDAN ELECTRICS
Trainer-in-form (last 14 days):
R Fahey (8 wins from 67 runners, 12%) runs DARK VINTAGE
Weightwatcher: BADRI won off a handicap mark of 100, his rating is now down 8lb to 92.
Longest Traveller: BADRI trained by M Herrington, Willoughton, 260 miles.
BETTING FORECAST: 15-8 Jordan Electrics (GB), 7-2 Digital (IRE), 6-1 Badri (GB), 13-2 Looking For Lynda (IRE), 17-2 Dark Vintage (IRE), 14-1 Never Dark (GB)
RACE SUMMARY: JORDAN ELECTRICS can become the most successful horse at Hamilton in modern times with win number 9 at the track. He’s enjoying a remarkable summer and could be hard to peg back once again in this small field. Digital could be the danger, ahead of Looking For Lynda, who has 7lb claimer Sam Feilden back up for the first time since the pair won at York in September 1-2-3: 1.JORDAN ELECTRICS 2.DIGITAL (IRE) 3.LOOKING FOR LYNDA (IRE)

RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a one mile and five furlongs handicap race for threeyear-olds and upwards which have been rated from 61 to 80. To qualify for a handicap rating horses must have run at least three times in a Flat race in Britain, or have run in no more than two Flat races run in Britain and won at least one of them. This rating then dictates the weight to be carried in a handicap In simple terms a horse rated 75 in this particular race would be required to carry 5lb more than a rival rated 70.

ONE MILE about THREE FURLONGS (11f abt 15yds) (2200m)
RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a one mile and three furlongs handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 46 to 60.
