WELCOME
Good evening and a warm welcome to Hamilton Park for our Indigo Unified Comms Racenight.
We have an exciting evening of racing ahead of us with prize money of nearly £50,000 on offer across the six-race card, with all races being run at no less than £2,000 above BHA minimum values and the whole fixture being run at 38% above those same values. This is all part of our continued commitment to prize money and the quality of the racing we stage here at Hamilton Park, with investment across all classes of race
Our thanks go to tonight’s sponsors and partners; Indigo Unified Comms, Racing TV and our very own Hampton by Hilton Hamilton Park. We hope you and your guests have a fabulous evening with us. The on-track action this evening starts with the first Amateur Riders race of the season at Hamilton Park. With a near full field of 14 declared, some of the UK’s leading Amateur Riders are lined up to ride in this race and with eight course and distance winners amongst the field it should prove an intriguing contest.
The Achieve More with Indigo Unified Comms Handicap (Class 4) at 7.50pm sees the Iain Jardine trained Catherine Chroi go for a hat-trick here at Hamilton Park, having won over the same distance on two occasions in May as part of a fantastic run of form that has seen her win in six of her eight outings this year. Iain is double-handed in the race with Jump The Gun for Let’s Be Lucky Racing 26, who will be hoping for a return to the form that saw him win here back in 2021.
Next week we see Royal Ascot take centre stage in the racing world, but don’t forget we race ourselves here at Hamilton Park next Wednesday with our first ever Well-Man Cars Community Raceday Our attention then turns to our ever-popular Greenversity Saints & Sinners Racenight ft Go Radio’s Gina McKie and Zoe Kelly on the evening of 27 June, where we’ll once again be raising much needed funds to support the charitable activity undertaken by the Saints & Sinners Club of Scotland.
Tickets for all of our fixtures are available at www.hamilton-park.co.uk with some excellent discounts applied when you purchase online in advance.
Have a great evening and be lucky!
Kind regards,
ASHLEY MOON, RACECOURSE MANAGING DIRECTOR

AMATEUR JOCKEYS’ HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6)
RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a six furlongs handicap race for four-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 46 to 55. In a handicap the weight that each of the runners carries is determined by their official handicap rating which is based on their level of form shown so far. The aim is to ensure competitive racing by asking the higher rated horses to carry more weight than a lower rated rival. As a guide, horses rated 40 tend to be at the lower end of the scale whilst the very best performers would be rated as high as 130.

ONE MILE about THREE FURLONGS (11f abt 15yds) (2200m)
MAIDEN STAKES (CLASS 5) (GBB RACE)
RACE DESCRIPTION
This one mile, three furlongs and 15 yards contest for three-years-old and upwards is a maiden stakes - a race for horses that have yet to record a racecourse victory. There are a variety of reasons why the older horses in this race could still be maidens. Stoutly bred horses are unlikely to be seen at their best over the shorter distances of their juvenile season whilst a setback or injury can curtail even the most precociously bred horse’s two-year-old career

RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a six furlongs handicap race for three-year-olds which have been rated from 61 to 80. To qualify for a handicap rating horses must have run at least three times in a Flat race in Britain, or have run in no more than two Flat races run in Britain and won at least one of them. This rating then dictates the weight to be carried in a handicap In simple terms a horse rated 80 in this particular race would be
to carry 5lb more than a rival rated 75.

RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a six furlongs handicap race for four-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 61 to 80. Once a horse has qualified for a handicap rating this is regularly reassessed. A below-par effort could result in a reduced rating whilst a strong performance could see the rating increased. Occasionally, horses are entered to race before their handicap rating has been reviewed and so to avoid recent winners being un-penalised they are allotted a mandatory penalty – usually 6lb

BETTING FORECAST: 4-1 Ski Angel (GB), 13-2 Aces Wild (IRE), 7-1 Sound Reason (GB), Refuge (GB), 9-1 Wee Fat Mac (GB), 10-1 Newyorkstateofmind (GB), 11-1 Borough (GB), 14-1 Dicko The Legend (IRE), Ramon di Loria (IRE), 22-1 Henery Hawk (GB), Cuban Rock (GB)
RACE SUMMARY: Successful over C&D last term, SKI ANGEL quickly resumed winning ways in the style of one who may not have reached her limit just yet at Musselburgh 11 days ago and she could be worth siding with to go in again from a 5lb higher mark. 4-time C&D winner Refuge highlighted he’s coming to hand with a creditable fourth at Ripon recently and he’s feared. Last year’s winner Newyorkstateofmind and Sound Reason complete the shortlist.

THE STAY AT HAMPTON BY HILTON HAMILTON PARK HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6)
RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a one mile and 68 yards handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 46 to 60. Like all handicaps on today’s card this means that should a horse rated 60 take part they would be
to carry 5lb more than a rival rated 55.
RACE STATISTICS
Leading course trainer (19-24): J Goldie (40 wins from 366 runners, 11%) runs EPONA PAS
Trainer-in-form (last 14 days): R Fahey (11 wins from 56 runners, 20%) runs TRUE NATION
Fancy That: L Perratt won this race in 2019 and 2021. The stable runs CHINESE SPIRIT & RETIREMENT BECKONS today
Longest Traveller: TRUE NATION trained by R Fahey, Malton, 203 miles.
BETTING FORECAST: 9-2 True Nation (IRE), 6-1 Ledger (IRE), 8-1 Jaminoz (IRE), Shahnaz (IRE), 12-1 Golden Valour (GB), Chinese Spirit (IRE), 14-1 Miltonia (USA), 16-1 Retirement Beckons (GB), National Question (IRE), 20-1 Epona Pas (IRE), 33-1 Vitrina (GB), 40-1 Dingwall (GB), 50-1 Lope de Rueda (GB), Bellslea (IRE)
RACE SUMMARY: A few with chances but Richard Fahey’s filly TRUE NATION is hard to side against given she escapes a penalty for that Nottingham apprentice success a week ago Hat-trick seeking Ledger rates the obvious danger, although both Shahnaz and Jaminoz are others who command respect in a competitive handicap.
