Good evening and welcome to Hamilton Park for our Indigo Unified Comms Saints & Sinners Racenight. Tonight is one of the most famous racenights in the calendar, and we’ve got a fantastic evening ahead with a great card of racing and some excellent post-racing entertainment, whilst raising much needed funds for the charities’ supported by the Saints & Sinners Club of Scotland. Ourthanks goto all oftonight’s sponsors –The European Breeders Fund, Pangea Group, PDM Buildbase, Patersons of Greenoakhill and our title sponsors Indigo Unified Communications. I hope you and your guests have a most enjoyable evening’s racing with us. This evening’s racing gets underway with the Pangea Group Saints & Sinners Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap for the Saints & Sinners Challenge Cup. Whilst we have a small field for this years’ race, former Champion Owner Jimmy Long has Wickywickywheels looking to challenge for the win having won here on 25 May. However, Tim Easterby has once again targeted this race with ChiefCraftsman, who’ll once again be piloted by his daughter, Emily. Our feature race, the Class 3 Patersons of Greenoakhill Handicap at 8.30pm, has a quality field and should prove a highlight of the evening. Top of the weights is Ready Freddie Go for trainer Ollie Pears, with Apprentice Jockey Harry Russell taking the ride having recently piloted a winner here at an incredible 200-1! Local trainer Keith Dalgleish and syndicate Owners Middleham Park Racing LI & Partner will also be hoping to feature with an improved run from The Thin Blue Line, who’s most recent outing saw him place second at Musselburgh on 5 June. As we all know, tonight is not all about the racing. The Saints & Sinners Club of Scotland do incredible work throughout the year raising funds for the often-forgotten smaller charities from across Scotland. Their fundraising takes an enormous amount of work and we at Hamilton Park are proud to support them this evening. In addition to a donation made from every ticket purchased for this evening, funds raised from the sale of red and white carnations will go to the charity. Details of other ways of supporting Saints & Sinners are featured in tonight’s racecard including a fantastic SilentAuction with some incredible prizes up for grabs, as well as our annual Sign-a-Note raffle. Entering couldn’t be easier – simply place £10 in one ofthe envelopes available around the course and pass it to one ofthe team. Don’t let the Sun Go Down too early on your time with us tonight as we welcome one of the UK’s finest tribute acts, Elite Elton – The Elton John Experience, who will take to the stage after the last race to get you Crocodile Rocking through until the end of the evening. Have a fantastic night and I do hope you back a winner or two! Kind Regards ASHLEY MOON, RACECOURSE MANAGING DIRECTOR
