WELCOME Good afternoon and welcome to Hamilton Park for our Lookers Audi Raceday, as we share the stage with Royal Ascot today. We have a fantastic afternoon of racing ahead of us, and our thanks go to all of today’s sponsors – The European Breeders Fund, DM Hall, and our title sponsors and valued partners Lookers Audi, who have some of their latest cars on display with us today, and also provide our raceday vehicles for our Doctors and Vets. I hope you and your guests have a most enjoyable day’s racing with us. On the track today we can expect some close contests, with The DM Hall 125th Anniversary Handicap at 3.30pm featuring five course and distance winners amongst the eleven runners. Kats Bob, trained by Iain Jardine, has had two wins here already this season and will be looking to make it a hat-trick today, whilst Quanah will be looking to return to winning ways for Liam Bailey having won here back in May. All eyes may well be on the John David Riches-trained Astapor, who made history when winning convincingly here on 2 June at an incredible 200-1, making him the joint biggest-priced winner on the Flat in Britain ever for Owners J R Racing, who bought him for just £1 from Trainer Mick Channon. Apprentice Jockey Harry Russell once again takes the ride and will be keen to follow up on his historic win. With heightened interest in our sport this week due to Royal Ascot, we’ll be showing all the away racing on the screens around the grounds between our own races, so if you fancy a flutter on the action in Berkshire then just head along to any Tote window, the William Hill Betting Shop or the Betting Ring where you’ll be able to place your bets. Next week will see the return of our ever-popular Saints & Sinners Racenight, sponsored by Indigo Unified Comms, where we all come together to enjoy an evening of racing and live music whilst raising much needed funds for small, Scottish-based charities. A portion of every ticket sold is donated to the Saints & Sinners Club of Scotland, who then distribute the funds to worthwhile causes, so simply by buying a ticket to attend you are supporting those in need. Advance purchase tickets are available from only £22.50 at www.hamilton-park.co.uk and as always Under 18s get free admission, so I do hope to see some of you again next week. Have a wonderful afternoon and I hope you pick some winners today, whether it be here or at Royal Ascot. Kind Regards ASHLEY MOON, RACECOURSE MANAGING DIRECTOR

THE HAMILTON-PARK.CO.UK APPRENTICE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a one mile and four furlongs handicap race for four-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 46 to 60. To qualify for a handicap rating horses must have run at least three times in a Flat race in Britain, or have run in no more than two Flat races run in Britain and won at least one of them. This rating then dictates the weight to be carried in a handicap. In simple terms a horse rated 60 in this particular race would be required to carry 5lb more than a rival rated 55.

THE BRITISH STALLION STUDS EBF MAIDEN STAKES (CLASS 4) (A HAMILTON PARK 2YO SERIES QUALIFIER) (GBB RACE) RACE DESCRIPTION
FOR MAIDEN TWO YRS OLD NUMBER OF DECLARED RUNNERS 8
RACE STATISTICS
THE TRUSTEES OF THE E.B.F. have kindly contributed £1000 towards the prize money for this race. HAMILTON PARK RACECOURSE EXECUTIVE will present a memento to the winning owner of this race. In addition, they will present a cash prize to the person in charge of the horse judged to be the best turned out. Owners Prize Money. Winner £5120; Second £2560; Third £1280; Fourth £640. (Penalty Value £6480)
This race is a six furlong maiden stakes for two-year-olds. Maiden races provide a starting point for young horses that are yet to record a victory and most will be very lightly-raced or be making their racecourse debuts. Previous experience can count for a lot when searching for the winner but well-bred or precocious juveniles are more than capable of landing the prize at the first time of asking.

The stable runs LUDO’S LANDING today. . Longest Traveller: REWARD SMILE trained by H Palmer, Malpas, 240 miles.

The son of Kodiac bumped into a good prospect from the Richard Fahey yard at Ayr, but he pulled clear of the rest so can see off the challenge of Monte Forte and Reward Smile, who also have the benefit of an encouraging first run behind them. 1-2-3: 1.LUDO’S LANDING (IRE) 2.MONTE FORTE 3.REWARD SMILE

THE DM HALL 125TH ANNIVERSARY HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) RACE DESCRIPTION
This is a six furlong handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 51 to 70. To qualify for a handicap rating horses must have run at least three times in a Flat race in Britain, or have run in no more than two Flat races run in Britain and won at least one of them. This rating then dictates the weight to be carried in a handicap. In simple terms a horse rated 65 in this particular race would be required to carry 5lb more than a rival rated 60.

Chief threats are Stallone, who ran well at Pontefract last week, and course regular Quanah. 1-2-3: 1.LADY CELIA 2.STALLONE (IRE) 3.QUANAH (IRE)

This is a one mile handicap race for three-year-old which have been rated from 51 to 70. To qualify for a handicap rating horses must have run at least three times in a Flat race in Britain, or have run in no more than two Flat races run in Britain and won at least one of them. This rating then dictates the weight to be carried in a handicap. In simple terms a horse rated 70 in this particular race would be required to carry 5lb more than a rival rated 65. Leading course trainer (17-22): K Dalgleish (56 wins from 433 runners, 13%) runs FERGIE TIME & HEIGHTS OF ARAN Trainer-in-form (last 14 days): D O’Meara (7 wins from 63 runners, 11%) runs AUTUMN FESTIVAL Fancy That: I Jardine won this race in 2019 and 2021. The stable runs SHOWMEDEMONEY & ST ANDREW’S CASTLE today. Longest Traveller: AUTUMN FESTIVAL trained by D O’Meara, Upper Helmsley, 208 miles.
BETTING FORECAST: 10-3 Autumn Festival (GB),
5-1 Showmedemoney (IRE), 11-2 Fergie Time (IRE), Sophiesticate (IRE), 7-1 Yeeeaah (IRE), 10-1 Shaladar (FR), 14-1 Heights of Aran (IRE), 20-1 St Andrew’s Castle (GB), 80-1 Buachaill (IRE), 100-1 Nazca (GB) RACE SUMMARY: AUTUMN FESTIVAL quickly got back on track when denied only close home at Pontefract last time, doing well to sustain his effort given how hard he went off, and he can gain compensation with a hood now applied. Showmedemoney has shown improved form on his last 2 starts for Iain Jardine and is feared most, with the lightly-raced Sophiesticate completing the shortlist. 1-2-3: 1.AUTUMN FESTIVAL 2.SHOWMEDEMONEY (IRE) 3.SOPHIESTICATE (IRE)

THE LOOKERS EDINBURGH AUDI AYR AUDI CLASSIFIED STAKES (CLASS 6) RACE DESCRIPTION
This race is a one mile one furlongs classified stakes for three-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 0 to 50. Unlike in a handicap when a horses rating reflects the weight that they will carry, the weights in this type of race are decided solely on the basis of age or sex. This means that the higher rated horses should, theoretically, hold an advantage, as they are not forced to concede weight to lower rated rival.
