WELCOME TO SEASON FINALE P R E S E N T E D BY V I R G I N BE T Welcome to Season Finale presented by Virgin Bet, the closing fixture of 2026. Today’s meeting boasts handicaps and contests for promising two-year-olds and horses aged three-years-old and older. Kicking off the day is the everpopular Alderbrook Handicap for professional jump jockeys, where leading jockeys from the National Hunt circuit step into the spotlight, bringing their flair and fierce rivalry to the flat. Aside from racing, the Earls Lawn located in the Gordon Enclosure is the heart of off-track entertainment. Lady and the Dukes will perform their distinctive and quirky vintage sounds accompanied by cosy firepits and marshmallow toasting! For all engine enthusiasts and lovers of classic cars, the Goodwood Road Racing Club is proud to present a stunning display of member vehicles throughout the Richmond and Gordon Enclosures. From a 1950s Aston Martin DB3S to a Porsche GT3 RS, guests can admire an extraordinary collection of classic, vintage and modern performance cars. We extend our sincere thanks to our presenting partner Virgin Bet, and to all our other partners for their generous support of today’s fixture. On behalf of everyone at Goodwood, thank you for being part of today and for sharing the season with us. It has been a joy to have you here. We wish you a thrilling and successful day’s racing and we are already counting down the days to welcoming you back for the 2027 season.

THE COURSE c o u r s e c h a r a c t er i s t i c s Goodwood’s pronounced gradients and sharp bends favour the active, handy type of horse, the fluent mover rather than the big, long-striding runner, and this applies especially in short races and when the going is fast.
