Loneliness Is Everyone’s Business

The Rural Coffee Caravan - Why support us?

Charity of the year 2024

All of us are likely to experience loneliness at some point in our lives. Suffolk's rural communities face considerable challenges when it comes to loneliness and isolation.

The Rural Coffee Caravan exists to help rurally isolated people in Suffolk access services, information and opportunities for social connection, to improve their lives, health and wellbeing. We have been empowering and strengthening rural communities since 2003 and our model works.

It has renewed my enthusiasm for life to get back out and do things. P. (Fornham All Saints)

It has provided a warm hub for people to congregate around and it is so much appreciated. People arrive on foot, by bike, and very often with their dogs. Lonely people have come for a chat. It has been priceless throughout the darkest of times

M.A (Chattisham)

We are positively overwhelmed by the support and goodwill you spread around the county M.R. (Hitcham)

The team who visit come with information and advice about a range of help. The afternoon is a lively and friendly couple of hours which if lost would be sorely missed. It’s been a boon in recent times especially. All of this together with tea, coffee and delicious cakes— truly 5 Stars.
