‘To win’ is for your horse to come first.
‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.
How the experts rate the horse’s chances:
2. BHA rating = the higher the number, the better the horse.
3. Timeform view and TFR rating
Look out for the summary of leading course trainers before each race.
Listen out for any jockeys who are having a successful day.

The Sir David Prosser Trophy celebrates the achievements of the most successful Epsom-based trainer from the 2025 racing season.
The trophy was named in Sir David Prosser’s honour on his retirement from the non-executive board of Epsom Downs in 2013. Sir David made an enormous contribution to the development of the racecourse over many years and remained a loyal supporter of Epsom Downs and the local training community until his passing in March 2020.
The award for the 2023/24 season was given to Jim Boyle and Simon Dow, both with 18 winners across the 12 month period. They were closely followed by Michael Atwater with 17 winners. The award was presented at the Epsom Owners and Trainers’ Ball in November 2024.
The 2024/25 award started on the 5th November last year, and these are the current standings as of 29th July.
The presentation for the winning trainer will be made at the Epsom Trainers Association Ball in November. The Sir David Prosser Trophy championship for 2025 runs from 5th November 2024 to 4th November 2025.
Epsom Downs is home to nearly 180 horses in training. These horses have access to six miles and 250 acres of top quality training surface along the Surrey Downs. We are very proud of the training grounds here on Epsom Downs. Racing is part of our heritage and we want to ensure that we keep the Downs as a prestigious training ground and encourage further business from trainers and owners in the future.

HIS FINEST HOUR won over this trip at Newbury earlier this month prior to running well in a higher grade at the same course 13 days ago He looks to hold solid claims back down in class and is preferred to Carnival Day who appeals dropping down in grade, though his tendency to hang remains a concern returning to this track. Ofthe rest, Bearaway has been in good form on the all-weather and should be competitive back on turf for new connections.

An intriguing handicap in which none of the quartet can be discounted. BRIELLE made all to get off the mark under a no-nonsense ride at Hamilton 2 weeks ago and she may be able to repeat the feat on handicap debut.
