SEASON FINALE
A warm welcome to Epsom Downs Racecourse for the Glass Times Race Day, our penultimate fixture for the season.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our headline sponsors Glass Times for their generous support of today’s seven race card Today’s feature race is the Jump Jockeys Derby which gives jump jockeys a once-a-year opportunity to experience the full Derby course and distance The race forms part of a series of Derby’s which are run after the Betfred Derby in June
We are celebrating National Racehorse Week today as part of a nationwide annual homage of the racehorse which offers the public a chance to get up close and personal with horses at training yards, studs and aftercare centres up and down the country. We will be showcasing retired racehorses from local stable The Limes in the Parade Ring at 1pm as well as presenting today’s winning horses with bags of carrots and rosettes throughout the afternoon.
Epsom Downs takes great pride in introducing today as our Sustainable Raceday, as we continue our ongoing commitment to going greener Building upon our existing efforts, such as opting for public transport, reducing the number of racecards we print and more effectively sorting waste to increase our recycling footprint.
You are invited to enjoy our broad range of facilities including a variety of bars and restaurants offering something to everyone’s taste while you indulge in every aspect of the racecourse including exceptional views over the track and all the way to the winning post
We have collection stations for The Mayor’s Charities throughout the day and on exit so we encourage you to please give generously in support.
We wish all our guests a very enjoyable afternoon and the very best of luck to all the horses and their connections.

1. FORM EXPERTVIEWThe Sir David Prosser Trophy celebrates the achievements of the most successful Epsom-based trainer from the 2023 racing season.
The trophy was named in Sir David Prosser’s honour on his retirement from the non-executive board of Epsom Downs in 2013. Sir David made an enormous contribution to the development of the racecourse over many years and remained a loyal supporter of Epsom Downs and the local training community until his passing in March 2020.
Adam West has the top sport with 17 winners, followed by Michael Attwater on 15 winners and Simon Dow on 13 winners.
The presentation for the winning trainer will be made at the Epsom Trainers Association Ball in November. The Sir David Prosser Trophy championship for 2023 runs from 5th November 2022 to 4th November 2023.
Epsom Downs is home to nearly 180 horses in training. These horses have access to six miles and 250 acres of top quality training surface along the Surrey Downs. We are very proud of the training grounds here on Epsom Downs. Racing is part of our heritage and we want to ensure that we keep the Downs as a prestigious training ground and encourage further business from trainers and owners in the future.

Edward Hide, the prolific northern-based jockey whose greatest hour came when winning the 1973 Derby on Morston, sadly passed away last week at the age of 86.
Hide won six domestic Classics, including the 1967 Oaks aboard Pia, among a total of 2,593 winners in Britain between 1951 and 1983 – a total which was only recently passed by Joe Fanning as the highest for a jockey never to be crowned champion, and which places him 9th in the British all-time Flat list.
Our condolences go to his family and friends.

Probable S.P’s: 10-3 Mrembo (GB), 7-2 Lethal Touch (GB), 7-1 Lost In Time (GB), 8-1 Semser (GB), Arenas Del Tiempo (GB), 10-1 Dotties Star (GB), 12-1 Millions Memories (GB), 16-1 The Conqueror (GER)
LETHAL TOUCH looked better than ever when scoring over C&D last month and should make another bold bid. Mrembo is the obvious threat as she goes for the hat-trick, with C&D winner Arenas del Tiempo best of the others. TIMEFORM

ANTICIPATING showed improved form despite looking in need of a stronger gallop when fourth atWindsorlast month, andwith several rivalswho can go forward in opposition here, she should get a more favourable set-up and is worth chancing to make her second handicap start a winning one. Sapristi ran well on her first outing for Tom Clover last time and also makes plenty of appeal, as does Ectocross, who has ran well over shorter trips here on his last 2 outings.
