THE WATCHABLE HANDICAP STAKES

This race is named in honour of WATCHABLE, who holds the Six-furlong Track Record at Epsom Downs.

His record time of 1 minute 6.20 seconds came at the age of nine in the Investec Asset Management Handicap Stakes on Derby Day 2019 –Saturday 1st June.

Ridden that day by Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy, Watchable was trained for all bar the first of his 93 career starts by David O’Meara. He was retired earlier this year at the age of 11 having won 12 races and having amassed earnings of £338,932.
