VERDICT
The form of SUBZERO’s second last time at Leopardstown could be enough to take this seven-furlong maiden. Aidan O’Brien’s son of Galileo was a runner-up to Sharlouk, who has subsequently finished second in Listed company, so a repeat performance from Subzero here will make him tough to beat. Jessica Harrington’s newcomers should always be respected in these types of races, and the well-bred Beyond The Steps is another worthy of consideration. Don’t rule out a better showing from The Franchise either He was last seen finishing down the field in hot renewal of the Goffs Million here
Curragh Comment
SUBZERO was a clear second behind a progressive type, who has since come out and franked the form in Listed company, last time out over 7f at Leopardstown, and a repeat of that effort would make him very tough to beat. The Franchise is fancied to pose the biggest threat based on the form of his racecourse debut third last August over C&D. Beyond The Steps heads the remainder.
WIN: SUBZERO
THANK YOU
DANGER: The Franchise
