Race Descripton
This one mile, three furlongs about 75 yards contest for three-year-old fillies is a Listed race; a race that can only be bettered by a Group 1, 2 or 3 race. Many of the runners in this race will have already shown themselves to be talented and this race provides a perfect medium for them to be tested against a better class of rival before making the jump into a Group race. Initially, the weights are set at 9st each before penalties are awarded to fillies that have previously won above a certain level – 3lb for a Listed race victory or 5lb for a Pattern race success.

9-5 (7)
Charlie Johnston, Middleham T
B Gestut Hof Iserneichen Johnston Racing Ltd S
TIMEFORM VIEW Won two of three last year and, although below par on her final outing, she’s bred to be suited by middle distances and could be seen to good effect under a positive ride at a track that often favours such tactics.

TIMEFORM VIEW Off the mark at the second attempt in maiden at Nottingham 7 months ago, only needing to be pushed out. Pedigree suggests she will be suited by this far, so not a forlorn hope on seasonal debut.

TIMEFORM VIEW Useful filly who was far from discredited when third at this level at Epsom recently. Now tried in cheekpieces but others have more scope for progress.

TIMEFORM VIEW Winning debut at Lingfield in February and not disgraced despite being beaten at odds on under a penalty there 44 days ago. Faces a stiff task here, however.

TIMEFORM VIEW Had a considerated introduction and improved appreciably to land a well-contested Leopardstown maiden 35 days ago. Stable has a terrific record in this race and she should take the beating.

TIMEFORM VIEW Useful filly who stepped up on her juvenile form when readily landing a Doncaster handicap last month. Worth a try at this level but others probably have a bit more potential.

Play Smarter
SAVETHELASTDANCE relished the longer trip when landing a maiden at Leopardstown on just her second career outing and, with this extra distance set to bring further progress, she makes plenty of appeal. Luckin Brew is the main danger provided she sees out the longer trip, and Sirona is one of several others who can’t be completely dismissed.
TIMEFORM PREDICTION: 1.SAVETHELASTDANCE (IRE) 2.LUCKIN BREW (IRE) 3.SIRONA (GER)
