WELCOME TO
Welcome to The November Meeting – Carnival Sunday Hello and a very warm welcome back to Cheltenham Racecourse for the final day of The November Meeting, one of the most anticipated weekends in the Jump racing calendar. Today we celebrate Carnival Sunday, one of our most enjoyable and community-focused racedays of the season. The day brings together racegoers of all ages for top-class racing in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. With six exhilarating races, Shetland pony racing, and the ever-popular mascot race, it’s a day that offers something for everyone. Carnival Sunday is also about celebrating Cheltenham’s community spirit. We’re delighted to be welcoming many families to the racecourse today, with lots of children experiencing Cheltenham for the very first time. We hope their day here will help inspire the next generation to share our passion for Jump racing. Off the track, there’s plenty to enjoy in the Cadbury’s Family Fun Zone, one of today’s main attractions for those attending with families. Visitors can look forward to stage shows from Fool’s Delight Circus, flower crown and feather headdress making, face painting and glitter tattoos, interactive entertainment and an end-of-day disco with Party Peeps, inflatables, walking pet balloons, and arts and crafts activities. There will also be character meet and greets throughout the day, with appearances from the Minions, Freddo Frog and The Sour Patch Kids. Before the main racing begins, make sure to catch the morning’s entertainment in the Parade Ring, where the Unibet Punters Panel gets underway at 11.40am with Ed Nicholson and Martin Kelly previewing the day’s card. Two much-loved traditions also return today. The Shetland Pony Grand National begins at 12.15pm, while the annual Mascot Race follows the first race of the afternoon at 1.25pm, providing great fun and laughter for racegoers of all ages. On the track, the feature contest is the Unibet Greatwood Handicap Hurdle, which promises to be a thrilling renewal. Celtic Dino, top weight in the field, bids to follow up his impressive success in last month’s Welsh Champion Hurdle, with strong opposition from Iberico Lord and the in-form Skelton team’s Mirsnad. Elsewhere on the card, keep an eye out for the return of Protektorat, a former Festival winner who makes his seasonal reappearance in the Oddschecker Handicap Chase. We extend our sincere thanks to today’s sponsors: Unibet, Mallard Jewellers, Bottlegreen, Hine Solicitors, Oddschecker, and The Three Counties, for their generous support in making today’s raceday possible. As The November Meeting draws to a close, we hope you’ve enjoyed a wonderful weekend of racing and entertainment here at Cheltenham. We look forward to welcoming you back in just a few weeks’ time for The Christmas Meeting on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 December. Enjoy your day.
Guy Lavender Chief Executive Officer DON’T FORGET OUR NEXT MEETING: Friday 12 December The Christmas Meeting Friday Celebrate Christmas at the Home of Jump Racing with friends or colleagues, combining the excitement of top-class racing with the spirit of the season. Enjoy a full day of celebrations, with festive entertainment across the site and a vibrant atmosphere both on and off the track.

Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.
Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.
Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.
‘To win’ is for your horse to come first. ‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.
Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.

Genuine tickets sales are available at all the entrances or in advance via the Racecourse website.

NOTICES
RACEHORSE & JOCKEY WELFARE The welfare of the sport’s equine and human participants is paramount to British Horseracing. All racehorses competing in Britain are stabled at the premises of trainers who are licensed by The British Horseracing Authority. The standards demanded by The BHA of licensed racehorse trainers far exceed those prescribed by animal welfare legislation. The British Horseracing Authority similarly licenses every racecourse, setting high standards for the racing surface and all parts of the course used by competitors, both human and equine. BHA Officials ensure that racecourses delivers these standards. In addition Cheltenham Racecourse employs a minimum of three veterinary surgeons, whose sole responsibility it is to provide care to the horses throughout their time at the racecourse. In the event of an incident on the racecourse, any horse affected will receive immediate treatment from the racecourse’s veterinary team. Qualified paramedics and doctors are also on hand in the case of any incident involving a jockey. If any incident occurs during a race it is routine practice for screens to be erected around the horse or jockey receiving treatment. This is to allow the veterinary or medical personnel to make a safe and accurate diagnosis and so that they may perform any treatment in a private and calm environment. If necessary, horses and riders will be transported from the course to receive further treatment at the nearest equine hospital or Accident & Emergency hospital.
