Horse’s breeder
12-year-old gelding by Authorized, formerly trained by Gordon Elliott Breeder – G O’ Brien
Tiger Roll needs little introduction; a dual Grand National winner who’s racing career included five victories at the Cheltenham Festival. He was retired earlier this year having cemented his place as one of the public’s favourite racehorses. Due to his versatility and larger than life character, it was no surprise that Tiger Roll would also excel in a new career, proving an instant hit in the show ring when winning ‘first time out’ at Tullamore show. He was then placed in a competitive former racehorse class at Dublin Horse Show.
BALTHAZAR KING – ridden by Lucinda Sims 18-year-old by King’s Theatre, formerly trained by Philip Hobbs Breeder- Sunnyhill Stud
During a long and distinguished racing career Balthazar King won 16 times, including the Cross-Country Chase at the 2014 Cheltenham Festival. After recovering from a life-threatening injury incurred at Aintree, he was retired and enjoyed several seasons hunting with Izzi Beckett, wife of trainer Ralph. He has now moved on to be a ‘schoolmaster’ for Michael Andrews, The Jockey Club’s social media manager, with a view to competing in low-level dressage and show jumping. Michael says: “He is the most charming, loveable and intelligent horse.” CONEYGREE - ridden by Sara Bradstock 15-year-old by Karinga Bay, formerly trained by Mark Bradstock Breeder - Lord Oaksey
One of the leading staying chasers of his generation and the winner of the 2015 Cheltenham Gold Cup, Coneygree was retired from racing in February 2019. He adapted quickly to a life outside of racing and since being re-trained by Mark Bradstock’s wife Sara, Coneygree has won several RoR showing classes and twice qualified for the final of the Tattersalls RoR Show Series at Hickstead.
CYRNAME - ridden by Charlotte Alexander 10-year-old by Nickname, formerly trained by Paul Nicholls Breeder – S Follain, E Lecoiffier Et Al
The winner of seven races and formerly the highest rated chaser in training Cyrname was retired in May this year. To date he has not put a foot wrong in his retraining and he made an appearance at Blenheim International Horse Trials in September taking part in a RoR educational dressage display. He is showing a lot of promise in his second career and Charlotte Alexander’s aim is to go eventing, hunting and team chasing with him. Charlotte says: “Cyrname is a complete pet and loves being cuddled and spoilt with treats, he is hugely enthusiastic in everything he does.”
