Chelmsford City Racecourse

We have seven races for you this evening, which include a maiden to start proceedings, followed by six handicaps. The 6.00 pm and the 7.00 pm races are both Class 3 handicaps and the £15,000 in prize money on offer has attracted some useful performers. In the 6.00 pm race, Spirit of Nguru has not won since his two-year-old days but both of his wins were on the all-weather, which may be a clue in itself; Letmelivemylife runs in the same race and has won his last three, two of those victories being here at Chelmsford, so a bold run is expected from him. An hour later, the Betsi Handicap looks an open race but City Streak looks as if he may still be a few pounds ahead of the handicapper; he has not run for 8 months but if he is fit, then he should go close.
