CITY SELECTIONS

SIR LAURENCE GRAFF has run some creditable races in defeat this season and is best forgiven his latest run on handicap debut at Newmarket after not enjoying the smoothest of passages. High Honour has to concede 7lb to the selection after winning a maiden at Goodwood but he isn’t one to rule out with the first-time cheekpieces potentially eking out some improvement. Kingsley Pride improved on his racecourse debut to finish second last month and is most likely to give that duo something to think about.

PLAY SMARTER HIGH HONOUR looked a useful prospect when scoring at Goodwood so could be up to defying a penalty. Sir Laurence Graff is capable of winning one of these, while his stablemate Uncle Matthew made an eye-catching debut at Kempton.
