CITY SELECTIONS BAKERSBOY was a cosy winner at Lingfield last week and although he has to carry a 5lb penalty for that success, this added trip may well bring out further improvement. Marco Botti has been among the winners lately and although his Summertime Romance hasn’t been seen since finishing third at Nottingham in October, he must be respected if fully wound up. Koeman is proven over this trip and is worth noting if there is any market confidence behind him.

PLAY SMARTER BAILEYS DERBYDAY was progressive prior to a tame effort to end his 2021 campaign and, while he has a 10-month absence to overcome, he’s worth chancing to open his account with the potential for further improvement this term. Summertime Romance is also of interest on seasonal debut and the consistent Yagood is worth considering with his latest form having been boosted.
