CITY SELECTIONS The Stuart Williams-trained SHANKO made a good impression when scoring on his debut at this track last month and, with the drop to the minimum distance not expected to inconvenience him, the Oasis Dream gelding is fancied to defy a 7lb penalty. Crush And Run showed plenty on his first career run at Lingfield just under two weeks ago and may have even more to offer now dropping in trip, while Music Banner wasn’t unfancied at Yarmouth on his sole outing and is open to improvement on his return from a gelding operation.

PLAY SMARTER SHANKO created an excellent impression when making a winning bow here last month and is fancied to defy a 7lb penalty at the chief expense of David O’Meara’s debutant Mick McHugh, who appeals on paper and is worth monitoring in the betting. Lingfield debut third Crush And Run looks the pick of the remainder.
