WELCOME TO CATTERICK
On behalf of everyone at Catterick Racecourse I would like to welcome you all racing today, Family Day At the time of writing this we are melting in the second heatwave of the summer, which would be lovely for putting your feet up and relaxing on holiday but not so great for trying to produce a suitable surface for racing, or for exercising and travelling horses. Therefore, please bear in mind the groundstaff and stable staff who have worked tirelessly in the conditions to make today happen. I know there have been times this summer when we would have been grateful for a normal British summer and rain! As well as looking forward to some competitive racing on the track there is added entertainment in the Course Enclosure with bouncy castles, a 9 hole crazy golf course as well as a treasure hunt, so plenty to occupy all the family ahead to our next meeting on 24th August it is Ladies’ Day which is always a highlight. With fabulous prizes to be won for the best dressed and best hat I hope you will all be planning your outfits well in advance. I hope that you all have an enjoyable and successful day and look forward to welcoming you back on Wednesday 24th August. wishes Needham

HORSE WELFARE AT CATTERICK
BETTING RING ENQUIRIES
All Betting Ring Enquiries should be directed to the Betting Ring Manager
At all Catterick race meetings we has a minimum of two fully qualified equine vets who are employed to look after the welfare of all horses in action. They work closely with a British Horseracing Authority Veterinary Officer who is also always in attendance. In the unfortunate event of an accident or a horse becoming hurt or injured, the racecourse vets are on hand to act swiftly and treat a horse without delay.
BIG SCREEN Catterick Racecourse are pleased to announce that the big screen is present at today’s race meeting and will be at all Catterick’s fixtures during 2022.
ABANDONMENT POLICY
It is now standard procedure that all racecourses have modern, fully equipped horse ambulances so that horses can be moved and treated in more comfort. If a horse is injured out on the course, the vets and their assistants will erect screens enabling them to work in private the use of screens will not automatically mean the horse has been seriously injured. Serious injuries at Catterick Racecourse are thankfully very rare, but we regard any injury, however slight it may be, an absolute priority and we would like to assure all racegoers that we have the right people, the right equipment and right procedures to deal with them efficiently
SHUTTLE BUS Catterick are pleased to announce that they are now providing a shuttle bus service between the racecourse and Richmond town centre. Today the shuttle bus will leave the main entrance at approximately 5.00pm. For further details please contact the Racecourse Office.
Abandonment after 3rd race No refund
CASH MACHINE A cash machine is available for use in the Gods Solution Bar
