Page 1

WELCOME TO

A very warm welcome to Carlisle Racecourse for one of the most anticipated evenings of the summer – Caledonia Park Ladies Night!

Whether you’re a regular racegoer or joining us for your very first visit, we’re delighted to have you with us for an unforgettable evening of thrilling racing, fabulous fashion and fantastic entertainment.

Ladies Night is one of the highlights of our racing calendar, bringing together the excitement of live sport with the glamour and style that make this event so special. We are also proud to host the only all-female jockeys’ race card in the UK, showcasing the exceptional talent, dedication and professionalism of some of the sport’s leading female riders.

As part of this evening’s celebrations, we are delighted to feature the Female Stable Staff Charity Race, which raises valuable funds for this important cause while offering female stable staff a unique opportunity to experience race riding, something many would not otherwise have the chance to do. It is a fitting way to recognise the dedication, skill and passion of the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes and are so vital to the success of our sport.

Away from the track, our ever-popular Style Awards return, celebrating the incredible fashion on display throughout the evening. With fantastic prizes up for grabs worth over £3,000 Be sure to enter and show off your race day style, details of how to take part can be found on page 6.

The entertainment doesn’t end with the final race. Stay with us after racing as we continue the celebrations with live entertainment on the stage from world-wide saxophonist Ellie Sax & DJ, making Ladies Night the perfect way to kick off your July celebrations with friends and family

While you’re here, take the opportunity to explore everything Carlisle Racecourse has to offer From our bars and food outlets to betting facilities and spectacular viewing areas, our team is here to ensure you have a fantastic experience

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all of today’s owners, trainers, jockeys, stable staff and sponsors for their continued support in making this event possible

Most importantly, thank you for choosing to spend your evening with us We hope you enjoy every moment of Ladies Night and leave with memories to treasure. We look forward to welcoming you back to Carlisle Racecourse again very soon

BETTING EXPLAINED

Select your horse. Note their name and saddlecloth number

Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.

‘To win’ is for your horse to come first.

‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.

Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.

Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.

Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.
