WELCOME TO

Welcome to Carlisle Racecourse for the Andersons 135 Year Anniversary Raceday.

We have a fantastic card today for our final flat meeting of the 2024 season with seven races each generously sponsored/supported by local business Andersons Ltd. and their suppliers.

As part of National Racehorse Week our ROR star Duke of Navan will be parading after the first race to make sure you head down to be in with a chance to meet him! National Racehorse Week is a nationwide celebration of the racehorse, many yards, studs and retraining centres have been opening their doors to members of the public so that they can see the love, care and attention that goes into looking after these amazing athletes.

As our flat season is drawing to a close, so are the leading Jockey, Trainer, Owner and Best Turned Out yard leaderboards. The current standings are as follows with it all to play for today!

MYAL found improvement to open his account at Haydock a month ago and is bred to do better again, so he’s preferred to mostly more exposed types who have something to prove Hectic should give his running and Broken Spear is likely to be back on his game with a visor refitted and returning to turf.
