Welcome to Carlisle Racecourse for VL Aesthetics Ladies Night.
Ladies Night at Carlisle Racecourse is an event to celebrate women in our sport and the local community, we have a fantastic evening of racing, style and entertainment to offer you today.
Before our first race make sure you head to the parade ring and listen to our raceday presenter Gordon interview representatives from Women in Racing, Molly Day and Emma Stephenson, before giving you some top tips so that you can place a bet with one of our course bookmakers located in front of the main grandstand
In between races, there will be roaming entertainment from The Fat Cats Brass Band and the opportunity to win some excellent prizes in our Style Awards. Entries will be taken in the large marquee by the parade ring; details of this and the prizes on offer are on page 17 of this racecard
With a range of delicious food and drink options around site this evening, there is something for everyone, so please make the most of your time here and enjoy every minute.
The racing action starts with the Racing Welfare Charity Race for Female Stable Staff at 4.30pm 8 local trainers have nominated an individual from their yard to ride in this race and each rider is raising vital funds for Racing Welfare. You can still make a £10 donation by texting STABLE to 70470.
Following this, we have seven exciting flat races featuring all female jockeys - from professionals at the top of their game, to apprentices aiming to ride out their claim - before Radio 1 DJ Charlie Hedges takes to the stage on top of Generals Bar to perform a live DJ set after racing to end the evening
Thank you for supporting us today, I hope you have a wonderful evening and look forward to seeing you again very soon!
With best wishes,
Helen Willis
Carlisle Racecourse General Manager

PLAY SMARTER
This looks wide open so at the likely odds it is worth siding with in-form veteran hurdler KAJAKI to capitalise on a handy mark on a rare run in this sphere. Made For You heads the list of dangers ahead of Ashington, who both come here in good nick from hurdling. Tarbat Ness and Sam Sarphati complete the shortlist.

JEWEL MAKER returned to form when striking at Pontefract last month and subsequently lost no caste in defeat when a clear second to an upwardly-mobile 3-y-o at the same course nine days later. He makes plenty of appeal off the same mark here. Hostelry has largely acquitted herself well since a winning reappearance at Thirsk in April and she looks set to play a part in the finish, along with Alazwar, who shaped as though he could be coming back to the boil at Brighton last time.
Working alongside the Racecourse Association (RCA), bookmakers have introduced standard each-way betting terms across Jockey Club Racecourses. Bookmakers will provide these terms, or better, when offering each-way betting.

ALICE’S IMPACT hasn’t looked back since sent handicapping and is fancied to defy a 2lb rise for her recent Beverley success having overcome a troubled passage there. Captain Corelli made an encouraging return when third at Haydock and this C&D winner seems sure to be on the premises, while Seahorse Syd and Haalim can also have a say in this intriguing handicap
