It is a pleasure to be sponsoring two races across the card at Beverley this afternoon, and the Weatherbys Epassport Coconut Cup Fillies’ Handicaplooksincrediblycompetitive. Golden Melody bids to go one spot better here, runner-up in the contest last year despite a slow start. Tim Easterby’s six-year-old got back into thewinners’enclosureforthefirsttime in over 18 months when successful at Carlisle on her penultimate start and arrives here just 3lbs higher than last year. A string of consistent performances came to an end when well beaten last time but she will appreciatethedropinclass.
Golden Melody finished runner-up in 2023 and bids to go one spot better here.
Progressive three-year-old Golden Myrrh is likely to be popular for Ralph Beckett as she chases the hattrick following victories at Wolverhampton and Doncaster. She receives a valuable weight-for-age allowance here and looked to win with plenty in handlasttime,soitisunlikelyshehas reachedherceiling.Fellowthree-yearold Blufferonthebus gets in here off a featherweight and has won two of her last seven starts, finishing outside of the top three just once in that time. Thisstepbackupintripshouldsuit.
Top-weight Enola Grey was last seen finishing last but one in Listed company and should find this more suitable.GemmaTutty’sfour-year-old has previously registered a quickfire doubleontheAll-Weatherandarrives here on the back of a break, but a record of one win in ten starts on turf wouldbeaslightconcern.
Course and distance winner Little Rose lines up in the closing contest, the Weatherbys Bloodstock Pro Handicap. The Dubawi filly is a halfsistertoadualListedwinnerandshed her maiden tag in emphatic fashion on her penultimate start here. Despite racing a little enthusiastically, William Haggas’ made all as she powered clear of the field, eased down close home.Thequickturnaroundmaybeto blame for a below par effort last time, andshestillratesabigplayerbackat Beverley.
Nigel Tinkler’s Little Venice benefitted from a strong gallop over course and distance here last time, notching her first victory in ten starts with an impressive three-length success. Waited with, the Cityscape filly had to switch for a run but quickened clear in smart style. That performance suggestsa5lbrisemaynotbeableto halt another bold showing. Jez Bomb chased home the winner that day bit didn’t have the most straightforward of runs, stumbling as they turned for home, and bids to close the gap here in first-time cheekpieces and a 5lb swingintheweights.

Beverley Racecourse has the highest safety & security measures in place to ensure your safety, comfort and enjoyment of the day However, if an incident occurs which is beyond our control, it is important that you are aware of how we look after you in the event of an emergency.
We employ professionally trained and experienced stewards who are located around the course and are identifiable by their uniform. In the event of a situation that requires partial or full evacuation of the stands or racecourse, announcements will be broadcast and stewards will direct you to a place of safety; it is essential that you follow their instructions. Please take your immediate belongings with you and proceed out of the area quickly and calmly
The adjacent is precautionary only and we trust that the procedures will never be required. However, in the event of an emergency, remember:
• Take your belongings with you;
• Under the directions of the stewards, proceed quickly and calmly to the safe area
We request that you observe all Health & Safety requirements whilst you are at Beverley Racecourse. Please do not stand in the aisles of the Grandstand as this could prevent access in an emergency. We ask that only those that are disabled use the disabled viewing ramp and that parents keep a close eye on all children and prevent them from climbing the running rails and getting onto the actual racecourse.
Remember - the first aid unit is located next to the Minster Building in the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure.
Photographers operate on racedays to take fun pictures of our racegoers. These photos are used on social media as a service to our racegoers and our marketing in print and online. In line with GDPR laws, you have the right to choose to not be in these photos, or to remove your permission once the photo has been taken. Please just alert a member of staff or the photography that you do not want your picture taken; alternatively if you see a picture of you that you do not want to be public, please contact the office on 01482 867488 and we will remove it immediately and destroy all copies
We ask all visitors to observe the following points for their own safety:
• Racegoers MUST cross the racecourse only at the specific manned crossing point, namely the Grandstand and Paddock upper crossing. This point is manned for your own safetyracegoers should make no attempt to cross the course until advised to do so by the racecourse staff ANYONE IGNORING THIS REQUEST IS LIKELY TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE PREMISES
• When watching the racing from the middle of the course, racegoers should avoid standing too close to the rails and under no circumstances should children be allowed to sit on the rail.
We would stress that the above points are there to help keep you, the jockeys and the horses from coming into immediate contact and for your own safety.
The use of all types of communication equipment is strictly controlled at all racecourses. Members of the public may not use two-way radios, scanning receivers etc., for any purpose at the racecourse.
