Tim Easterby’s charge might only need to repeat that level of performance in order to go one better. Jim Goldie’s seven-year-old shouldn’t have any issues with this drop in distance and can complete a double. Velvet Vulcan failed to supplement his Lingfield success when only fifth at the same track last time, but is an interesting contender on his first start for the R Mike Smith yard. Of the remainder, Amalfina makes the most appeal.
