Included in the form guide below each horse is a form rating, calculated from the horse’s previous performances, taking into account a number of variables such as finishing position, distance won/beaten by, horses beaten/beaten by, weight carried, race time (compared with the standard time), going allowance, number of days since that performance, etc.
Horses which have not raced will not have a form rating, as may some horses which have raced but not recently in Britain or their performances to-date have not yet merited a rating.

1. Pick your Racehorse, look around for the best odds on course, try to proffer the correct stake money for your wager
2. Ask the Bookmaker for your bet by naming the horse. The bookmaker will repeat your bet to his clerk, correct bookmaker if he makes a mistake and receive your Betting Ticket as a receipt for your bet.
3. If your horse wins, give your Betting Ticket to the bookmaker, check your winnings.
4. Check with the bookmaker when placing a bet, the Place Terms. Place Betting, not all on course bookmakers accept each way bets, ie. for a win or a place.
5. In the unlikely event of a dispute after adhering to this procedure, the bookmaker will tell the punter to approach the Ring Official, who will advise you as to your rights.
6. Some course bookmakers have minimum stakes.e.g. £1, £5, £10 but small backers are catered for in the racecourse Betting Shops.
In conjunction with The RCA, the bookmakers have introduced standard each-way terms. Bookmakers will provide these terms, or better, when offering each-way betting.

• 3 or 4 runners – 1/5 odds a place 1,2
• 5 – 7 runners (inclusive) – 1/4 odds a place 1,2

Having finished a cracking fourth in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot last month, WEISSMULLER was subsequently disappointing in a Listed event in France. However, the ground conditions didn’t play to his strengths that day and this drop into a maiden will help. Motawahij should appreciate this drop in distance and is feared most, ahead of Symbol Of Strength. totewin: Weissmuller toteeachway: Motawahij

Irvine-born Danny made his Classic breakthrough this season when Fallen Angel landed the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh back in May with that success coming after the Karl Burke trained filly proved to be a disappointing favourite in the Newmarket version 3 weeks before. Fallen Angel missed Royal Ascot after that but she’s entered up in the Group 1 Matron Stakes back at the Curragh in September and Tudhope’s main employer Clipper Logistics has plenty of horses to keep him busy in the meantime. The jockey won a Listed race at Naas last Wednesday on Nighteyes for trainer David O’Meara and he has 3 rides at Ayr today after another busy weekend at York and Pontefract.
14% SUCCESS RATE AT AYR OVER THE LAST 5 YEARS 34 WINS FROM 240 RIDES
Carrutherstown-based Iain kept his good season going with another winner here at Ayr last Monday in the shape of Pembrokeshire and winning stable-jockey Andrew Mullen was back amongst the winners again in last Thursday’s Racing League meeting at Yarmouth. Jardine followed Pembrokeshire’s win by saddling Bringbackmemories to finish a close third under new stable apprentice Mo Tabti at York on Friday and the trainer’s 4 runners on Saturday were split between York and Newcastle. The yard runs 4 more horses here at Ayr today including the hat-trick seeking Medici Pass, a Raven’s Pass filly which goes for the mile handicap at 4.45 after a break since winning her first two races for Jardine at Newcastle and Southwell back in March.

SOUND OF IONA appreciated a return to 6f when scoring over C&D a fortnight ago and she looks more than capable of following up. Jim Goldie’s mare won with something up her sleeve on that occasion and a 5lb higher mark looks far from insurmountable. Biplane arrives on the back of a solid second at Doncaster recently and another bold showing looks assured, with Gobi Sunset making most appeal of the remainder.

Connections will be hoping STRESSFREE finally gets some luck in-running having failed to get a clear run on his last couple of outings. Beaten less than a length at York last time, he gets another chance with Danny Tudhope taking over in the plate. Soowaih also ran into trouble when narrowly beaten over a longer trip at York on his latest start and will likely make his presence felt once again, while Curran is also noted.

Jumeira Vision was beaten a length into fifth when bidding for a four-timer here a fortnight ago. He can figure again but needs to turn the tables with the runner-up GOLDEN VALOUR, who missed out by only a neck on that occasion and looks capable of going one better having already scored over C&D back in May. Medici Pass has won both starts since joining Iain Jardine’s yard, though both victories came on the all-weather and she’s yet to win on turf.

ZUFFOLO had excuses when third at Doncaster, given he lost a shoe and had to be switched for a clear run. A bold bid is expected from Michael Dods’ four-year-old dropping down a grade having won off higher handicap marks in the past. Ramon Di Loria has been in the mix over 6f here lately and this return to the minimum trip will suit, while Cuban Rock can figure again raised only 3lb for winning at Hamilton.
