Joe Fanning is setting the pace in the 2023 Ayr Flat Jockeys Championship having accumulated 24 points from the first four meetings.

Joe rode a treble at our Spring Racenight on May 23 with Loch Carron winning the Every Race Live On Racing TV Maiden Fillies’ Stakes, One Last Hug landing the Follow @racingtv On Twitter Handicap and Espresso making all in the Book Unite Summer Raceday Handicap. Paul Mulrennan sits in second spot with 21 points.

Jim Goldie has a commanding lead in the Trainers’ Championship on 35 points with Iian Jardine in second spot on 21 points.

Mrs Francesca Mitchell leads the Owners Championship on eight points with her Novak winning the racingtv.com Handicap on May 23.

These include Alethiometer in the Join Racing TV Now Fillies’ Handicap at 2.45pm. This filly was second in a similar race at Redcar last month and if running to that form should go close. Another runner from the stable is Fifty Sent in the 1m 2f handicap at 3.15pm who won last time out on the all-weather at Newcastle.

The gelding won here last September and although finishing down the field at the track at our last meeting he was slowly away that day and if he breaks better this afternoon he could well be in the mix.

Gometra Ginty lines up in the Join Racing TV Fillies’ Handicap and this nine time winner could be about to regain her sparkle.

Fiver Friday shouldn’t be far away if judged on her debut performance, while newcomer Angel From Above is worth a market check.

The daughter of Aclaim struck over this distance in July last year and she could prove tough to beat under Callum Rodriguez. The main threat is Woobay, who has taken a step forward on each of her three starts and is an interesting contender on her handicap bow, while Gometra Ginty rates best of the rest.

A 2lb higher mark is hardly restrictive and there are solid foundations to build from now he is back on turf. Coconut Bay also appeals back in trip with a tongue-tie applied.
