JIM GOLDIE
10% S U C C E S S RA T E AYR RECORD LAST 5 YEARS
44 WINS FROM 422 RUNNERS
Jim’s career sees no sign of waning as he enters his 29th season as a trainer His record here has no equal with 220 winners on the Flat and he had his 1,000th career success here last June. This is the time of year his horses hit their stride and he has runners in most races this afternoon. Shine On Brendan who contests the Bet@racingtv.com Handicap at 3.05pm is a course and distance winner who should come on for his run at Musselburgh last month.
IAIN JARDINE
10% S U C C E S S RA T E AYR RECORD LAST 5 YEARS
42 WINS FROM 421 RUNNERS
Iain enjoyed a successful year in 2022 saddling 42 winners his second highest yearly haul. This afternoon sees him with several runners including Merricourt who has won three times at the track and who has dropped to a handy mark. He runs in the 100% Racingtv

Profits Back To Racing Handicap at 4.40pm with Andrew Mullen riding. Showmedemoney also takes the eye in the Bet @racingtv.com Handicap at 3.05pm.
CHARLIE JOHNSTON

S U C C E S S RA T E AYR RECORD LAST 5 YEARS 0 WINS FROM 0 RUNNERS
Charlie officially took over as trainer at Kingsley House on January 1st and has already bagged more than 30 winners in what is shaping to be an excellent year for the yard. He has two runners this afternoon, Dark Company in the opening apprentice handicap and Hey Lyla in the Racing TV Profits Returned To Racing Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at 2.35pm. This filly was second on her seasonal reappearance at Epsom last month and will be ridden by Joe Fanning this afternoon.
PAUL MULRENNAN
16% S U C C E S S RA T E
AYR RECORD LAST 5 YEARS 42 WINS FROM 258 RIDES
Paul is undoubtedly one of the top jockeys in the north and has ridden 121 winners here over the years. He rides many horses – and winners – for Jim Goldie and they team up today on several runners including Shine On Brendan in the Bet@racingtv.com Handicap at 3.05pm. Paul’s other mounts include Jordan Electrics who runs for the Goldie yard for the second time in the Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap at 2.00pm.

ANDREW MULLEN
13% S U C C E S S RA T E AYR RECORD LAST 5 YEARS 23 WINS FROM 159 RIDES
One of the best riders in a finish, Andrew or Midge as he is known in the Weighing Room is a competitive character who has mounts at nearly every fixture here. In recent seasons he has built up an association with Iain Jardine and they enjoyed a great deal of success. They will be hoping to continue that this afternoon when Midge’s mounts for the stable include Merricourt in the 100% Racingtv Profits Back To Racing Handicap which closes the card at 4.40pm.
BILLY GARRITTY
14% SU CC ES S RA T E
AYR RECORD LAST 5 YEARS 10 WINS FROM 73 RIDES
A very talented young rider under both codes, Billy has several rides this afternoon including the lightly raced Out Of Mischief for Jedd O’Keefe in the Racing TV Profits Returned To Racing Maiden Fillies’ Stakes and Katie Scott’s Thaki in the Join Racing TV Now Handicap.
He has won four times from 5f to 6f on ground varying from good to soft. Beaten 7l behind Mecca’s Angel at 20-1 when 9th of 19 on his latest outing in the Group 1 Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes at York over 5f (good) last month. Drop back into handicaps should suit.

FORM RATINGS
Included in the form guide below each horse is a form rating, calculated from the horse’s previous performances, taking into account a number of variables such as finishing position, distance won/beaten by, horses beaten/beaten by, weight carried, race time (compared with the standard time), going allowance, number of days since that performance, etc.
Horses which have not raced will not have a form rating, as may some horses which have raced but not recently in Britain or their performances to-date have not yet merited a rating.
Brando was the winner of the Ayr Gold Cup on Saturday, 17th September, 2016.
HOW TO BET
1. Pick your Racehorse, look around for the best odds on course, try to proffer the correct stake money for your wager
2. Ask the Bookmaker for your bet by naming the horse. The bookmaker will repeat your bet to his clerk, correct bookmaker if he makes a mistake and receive your Betting Ticket as a receipt for your bet.
3. If your horse wins, give your Betting Ticket to the bookmaker, check your winnings.
4. Check with the bookmaker when placing a bet, the Place Terms. Place Betting, not all on course bookmakers accept each way bets, ie. for a win or a place.
5. In the unlikely event of a dispute after adhering to this procedure, the bookmaker will tell the punter to approach the Ring Official, who will advise you as to your rights.
6. Some course bookmakers have minimum stakes.e.g. £1, £5, £10 but small backers are catered for in the racecourse Betting Shops.

DARK COMPANY wasn’t disgraced when fourth at Wolverhampton on his latest outing and the five-year-old, who was dropped 1lb by the handicapper, appears to have been found a suitable opportunity to gain his first success on turf. Far From A Ruby boasts a decent record at this track and is likely to be competitive following her recent fourth at Southwell. DISTANCES
FLYLIKEANEAGLE struck by three lengths at Musselburgh last time on his return to the Flat, and the six-year-old gelding was raised 6lb for that effort. The quicker conditions are unlikely to trouble him and, with Brandon Wilkie claiming 7lb, he could prove very tough to beat. An interesting contender is Alpine Sierra, who makes his return to action after having a wind operation and tries a first-time tongue-tie, which could eke out improvement. Star Shield is another to note.
