TOP TRAINERS
KATIE SCOTT
15%
Katie, who trains from Galashiels, is enjoying her best ever year on the Flat having already saddled 10 winners with three of those coming at this track. She has one runner this afternoon
in Ben Asker who joined the yard at the end of June and promptly won his first start for Katie here on July 11. The four year-old was raised only 2lbs for that win and should be there or thereabouts in the Scottish Sun Ladies Night On Saturday Handicap at 3.18pm.
REBECCA MENZIES
5%
Rebecca is a rising star of the training ranks having started out in 2014 and is enjoying her best ever year having already won 24 races. She sends out two runners this afternoon with Balalaika making her racecourse debut in the British Stallion Studs
EBF Fillies’ Novice. Stakes at 1.18pm. This youngster is well bred out of No Nay Never and has the help of Paul Mulrennan from the saddle. Rebecca also
runs Russian Virtue in the Ayrshire Cancer Support Handicap at 1.48pm with Paddy Mathers riding.
KEVIN RYAN
13%
Kevin has a brilliant record here at Ayr which includes no fewer than five winners of the Ayr Gold Cup. His stable is in top form and he is
represented today by Dubai Jemila in the novice stakes and Sequira Lady in the Scottish Sun Ladies Night On Saturday Handicap. The latter has only raced three times and this is her first run in a handicap off a decent mark with Tom Eaves riding. Kevin’s other runner, also ridden by Tom, is seeing a racecourse for only the second time and should give a good account.
TOP JOCKEYS

TOM EAVES
2%
One of the most experience jockeys in the weighing room Tom continues to be at the top of his game and is in for a busy day with five rides. In the feature race of the afternoon,
the Fergie Happel Memorial Handicap, he rides Faylaq for Ewan Whillans and this former Willie Haggas trained six year-old should run a big race while Linda Perratt’s Nazca in the Ayrshire Cancer Support Handicap is another that could give Tom the chance of a winner.
BILLY GARRITTY
11%
Billy is one of the emerging riders in the north and had enjoyed many successes already both over jumps and on the flat. He enjoyed his best ever campaign last year riding 42 winners on the level and is totting up the winners again with top trainers like Keith Dalgleish, John Quinn and Micky Hammond all supporting him. He has a very interesting ride in the opening novice stakes on Mawada for Richard Fahey with the filly expected to go well on her racecourse debut.
PADDY MATHERS
13%
Leading light weight Paddy has an excellent record at Ayr where he has ridden many winners down the years for a host of trainers including Mike Smith and Richard Fahey. Today he will be looking forward to the mount on Glasses Up for Mike in the feature 1m 2f handicap. He
has ridden this remarkable gelding to six of his seven wins and the partnership should go very close again this afternoon.
