The six-year-old gelding now makes his handicap debut and he gets the vote to strike on his seasonal bow, now returning from wind surgery. Foster’sisland is feared most as he searches for the hat-trick after wins over this C&D and Kelso, while Serious Ego caught the eye when finishing second at Hexham and he could find improvement returning to this longer trip.

Conner McCann’s 10lb claim is another major plus, having been raised 5lb for that success, and the five-year-old gets the nod ahead of Cancan, who won on the same card last month in a novice hurdle. Success number one came with Rapid Raider in the Visit racingtv.com Handicap Chase under a very positive ride from Stephen Mulqueen who crossed the line two lengths in front of stablemate Destiny Is All. Then came another impressive win, Hen Operation Overlord cruised to the front to win by two and three quarter lengths from Mayo Star in the two mile four furlongs handicap hurdle. In the race to be top jumps jockey Brian Hughes has a commanding lead of 17 points over Sean Quinlan and in the Owners Championship Mr and Mrs Duncan Davidson currently lead the Vacuum Pouch Company Limited by two points.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
ABANDONMENT If racing is abandoned before the start of the third race, your ticket will be valid for an alternative meeting excluding the Scottish Grand National Festival or the Ayr Gold Cup Festival. ALCOHOL Racegoers are prohibited from bringing alcohol onto the racecourse. In the interest of safety to racegoers and horses, please observe the signs referring to “NO DRINKING AREAS”. ADMISSION The Ayr Executive reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone or to expel any person from the racecourse who they consider undesirable and does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to persons or their property. Entry is subject to terms and conditions. BETTING DISPUTES In the unlikely event of a betting dispute can you please contact the Betting Ring Manager. CHILDREN FRIENDLY AREAS Under the conditions of our licence under 14’s are permitted in the following areas only, but not at the bar itself: Courtyard & Grandstand Sports Bar (Ayrshire Suite) Princess Royal Suite Children will be allowed in all external areas within their particular enclosure
DOGS No dogs permitted on the racecourse with the exception of guide dogs in harness. DRESS CODE Hospitality Suites – Dressing up is encouraged in our hospitality suites although jackets and ties are not compulsory. Strictly no denims. Club Enclosure – The club enclosure operates a smart/casual dress code. We cannot accept trainers, non-tailored shorts, vests, football and rugby shirts. Smart jeans are acceptable. Grandstand – informal and casual dress but no vest tops of football or rugby colours. FIRST AID The Ayr Executive take this opportunity to thank the St. AndrewsAmbulance Association for their help throughout the season. The First Aid Point can be found behind the main Grandstand. FOOD & DRINK Food and drink must NOT be brought into the Racecourse. Glasses and bottles must not be taken outside Bars or designated enclosures. GENERAL Ayr Racecourse Executive reserves the right to refuse entry or to eject anyone who in their opinion is conducting themselves in an inappropriate manner.
Under 14’s ARE NOT permitted in other bars. CCTV Closed Circuit Televisions are provided in all bars. These show live racing from Ayr, followed by replays after each race. They also show action from other tracks racing today covered by SIS. Replays of the first 5 races from Ayr will be shown after the fifth race.

HORSE CARE AT AYR At every race meeting at Ayr there are three specially qualified equine vets appointed to look after the welfare of all horses in action. During a race two vets follow the action from the centre of the course and can attend a casualty in the same response time as the Medical Teams responsible for the welfare of the Jockeys. The third vet is based at the Stable Yard where a close check is kept on all horses especially those returning after a race. MEDIA COVERAGE & RECORDING FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES All Attendees (which for the purposes of this clause also includes horses and for the avoidance of any doubt includes families with children) are reminded that many races and fixtures are given coverage on television, radio and in print and various other forms of media. By entering the Racecourse Attendees are accepting they may appear in such coverage which may also include printed or electronic material used for the promotion of the Racecourse. Accordingly, Attendees shall have no right to object to their inclusion in any much coverage whether produced by the Racecourse or by third parties authorised by the Racecourse. Furthermore by entering the Racecourse each Attendee consents to the passing of still or moving images of them to third parties authorised by the Racecourse for the purposes of the production of printed or electronic material to be used solely for the Promotion of the Racecourse. Each Attendee will give any additional consents or waivers required for the unrestricted lawful use of any coverage (if any) without request for payment or imposing any other conditions.
MOBILE TELEPHONES & RADIOS The use of mobile telephones is not permitted except by permission of the Clerk of the Course. Bookmakers who have paid the appropriate fee may also use mobile telephones. In addition the use of any transmitting or receiving device, other than the official racecourse, Tote or Police service is prohibited. SMOKING Ayr Racecourse adheres to the government’s National No Smoking Policy. All indoor areas are No Smoking Zones. Those wishing to smoke may do so in the designated areas outside. USE OF SCREENS It is now standard practice for screens to be erected around any horse receiving veterinary attention on the ground. This does not reflecton the severity of an injury, but allows the vet some privacy and the horse the opportunity in a calm environment, in which to make a recovery.
