of Voices

Conflict

The WEA Yorkshire and Humber Region would like to mark the centenary of the outbreak of World War One with a wide ranging programme of courses and activities. The programme will provide opportunities to explore the lives and experiences – to hear, share and tell the stories – of those millions of ordinary people and communities across the world whose lives were affected by the Great War. It will look to widen opportunities for new students to study with the WEA, including people whose lives and communities are affected by conflict today. Above all, it will seek to raise the voices of those victims and survivors of war who are least heard and least remembered. You will find a number of courses identified as part of the Voices of Conflict programme in our WEA brochures. To find out more or to get involved, please contact Rob Hindle (rhindle@wea.org.uk/0114 232 2714).
