This Giving Tuesday, we can create new stories and support people of all abilities together. You can directly support Vecova’s programs by adopting a project that matters to you You can fundraise solo, or create a team with your team name (or our suggested one) Each of these projects fulfills an essential need, and with your help, they’ll become a reality. Whether it’s enabling creative expression, supporting good mental health, empowering employment opportunities, helping us pick up recyclables or ensuring safe, welcoming homes, your support writes a chapter in our journey to make a difference for people with disabilities
ADOPT A PROJECT – YOUR IMPACT, YOUR STORY
Here are some projects that are ready for adoption! Choose one that resonates with you, rally your friends, coworkers and family, and help us make it a reality If a project is “Available,” it’s ready for your support If it’s “Adopted,” you can cheer on the team making it a reality – every gift moves us closer to our goals.
1. Art Therapy Supplies
Goal: $1,000 – Available
Help bring art into the lives of those in mental health programs. Your gift funds canvases, paints, and supplies that offer creative coping tools.

2. Day Away Program
Goal: $2,000 – Available
Support a day of exploration out of town for individuals with disabilities, covering transportation, fees, and caregiver support This day out allows people to access experiences in a location which is normally out of their reach, and only available to them through support and caregiver assistance. These special opportunities bring joy, learning, and community engagement to everyone involved.

3. Employment Resources
Goal: $3,000 – Available
Fuel the drive for workplace inclusion with resources, training, and events that make Vecova’s Employment Services shine Your contribution supports meaningful work experiences

4. Wayfinder Library of Books and Games
Goal: $500 – Available
Fund a library of books, journals, and games to foster social engagement and learning for our Wayfinder programs.

5. Workwear & Interview Clothing Fund
Goal: $1,000 – Available
Provide gift cards for essential clothing to help individuals look and feel confident at interviews or as they start new jobs.

6. Home Safety Essentials
Goal: $5,000 – Available
Your gift supports necessary repairs, new appliances, and start-up kits (kits for independent living clients that include: bedding, toiletries, and kitchen supplies) for safe, welcoming homes

7. Employee & Volunteer Recognition
Goal: $1,000 – Available
Show our hardworking staff and volunteers how much they’re appreciated. This fund provides gift cards for thank-you at events throughout the year.

8. Where Needed the Most
Goal: $5,000 – Available
Your flexible funding provides immediate support wherever it’s most needed across Vecova’s programs

9. Bottle Pick-Up Truck
Goal: $90,000 – Available
You can help us purchase or lease a new truck for our Bottle Pick-Up program. Your gift will ensure this valuable service continues to run smoothly to keep recyclables out of landfills, and off the streets and generate funds to support people in our care
