Broken into two phases, this project consists of a replacement recreation center for the Singing Hills community. Phase I includes the construction of a new one-story, 11,000 SF facility featuring two multipurpose rooms, a fitness room, an exercise room, a game room, restrooms and a lobby. The second phase includes the gymnasium addition on the east side of the lobby as well as the plaza tie-in to the DART platform.

MEMORIAL STADIUM AND
RENOVATIONS
The project included renovations and an expansion of Memorial Stadium, home of Tarleton State Football and Track and Field teams. The stadium’s capacity increased from 6,719 to 9,400 seats. The project scope related to structural engineering services included renovations to the existing fieldhouse, new home grandstands on the west side, press box and suites, game day support spaces, entry plaza, fencing, athletic lighting and improvements to the existing east grandstands and

The stadium at Texas A&M University includes ample seating, media facilities, staff offices, concessions, locker rooms and equipment storage. Sports & Recreation KINESIOLOGY & ATHLETICS BUILDING The University of Texas Permian Basin | Odessa, Texas The new 63,000 SF building at The University of Texas Permian Basin houses the kinesiology classrooms, biomechanics and exercise physiology labs and faculty offices for the kinesiology and athletic training majors. Also included are a weight room, athletic training facility with hydrotherapy suite, men’s football and women’s soccer locker rooms, equipment manager offices, student lounge, coaches offices and an academic lecture hall. LOVELACE & MCNATT FAMILIES PRACTICE FACILITY
This project consists of a new 94,303 SF indoor practice facility at the University of North Texas campus in Denton. The multi-use facility will be used primarily for football, with ancillary use by the soccer and track and field teams. The project also includes storage space, filming/viewing platforms, an entry lobby, an alumni/recruiting lounge, a kitchenette and viewing areas into the practice facility. The facility will be constructed of a pre-engineered metal building supported on drilled piers and grade beams. The secondary areas will be constructed of structural steel supported on drilled piers with concrete slabover-void forms. This was a LEED Platinum-certified stadium project in the growing college town of Denton, located in suburban Dallas. Home to University of North Texas’ football team, the stadium opened with a capacity of 50,000. Amenities include a club lounge, luxury suites, concessions, locker rooms and retail spaces. Apogee Stadium is noteworthy for being the first college stadium in the United States with on-site wind power. The sustainable design allows it to restore more than 50 percent of the site in landscaping native to the North Texas climate. Additionally, permeable pavers reduce stormwater runoff and minimize the heat island effect.

The 14,800 SF adjacent field house contains concessions, locker rooms, satellite training room, offices, and public restrooms. The complex is situated on a 25-acre site. Sports & Recreation RECREATION | WELLNESS CENTER & CENTER FOR HUMAN PERFORMANCE EXPANSION
This project consisted of a two-story, 15,700 SF expansion and an 11,200 SF partial renovation of the Recreation | Wellness Center and Center for Human Performance at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. Highlights include a new weight and fitness room, climbing wall, jogging track, control desk and administration space, as well as renovation of the racquetball courts, locker rooms and dance studio. One of the key elements of the design was to showcase the climbing wall, which can be seen from outside the building and serves as an invitation to enter and be active.
